Anschütz Delivers Navigation Systems to Multi-Purpose Vessels

Anschütz is delivering advanced, customized integrated bridge systems (IBS) to three multi-purpose vessels for the German Waterways and Shipping Administration (WSV) built by Abeking & Rasmussen (A&R).The vessels will run exclusively on LNG, with sophisticated systems supporting a wide-ranging mission profile.The IBS consists of six Synapsis NX workstations with chart radar, ECDIS and conning, providing advanced features for precise and safe navigation, while using another ECDIS as a planning station.

Wärtsilä to Supply Navigation Systems for 10 Arctic LNG Carriers

Wärtsilä Voyage has signed a contract to deliver radio and integrated navigation systems for 10 icebreaking liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers to be constructed for the Arctic LNG-2 project.The order was placed in January 2021 and is now in process of execution, in partnership with South Korean shipbuilder Samsung Heavy Industries Co. Ltd shipyard. The new contract is an extension of the announcement made last summer, where Wärtsilä Voyage equipped five LNG carriers with integrated bridge systems under the same project.

Alphatron Bridge Systems for Four Seabulk Tugs

JRC / Alphatron Marine said it has won a contract to supply four integrated bridge systems for U.S.-based Seabulk Towing Inc.The new vessels, two upgraded ART 90-98US tugs, and two new Rapport 3000 are being built at Master Boat Builders in Coden, Ala.. One of the tugboats is expected to be deliverd in December 2020. Canadian Navy Upgrading Its Navigation Systems

The Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) has initiated a plan to upgrade navigation system hardware on a range of surface vessels and submarines.The supplier OSI Maritime Systems (OSI) said it has signed a deal with RCN to design, build, test, certify and deliver MIL-SPEC navigation system hardware upgrades to replace legacy systems that were originally provided by the company, some dating back to 2001. OSI will also provide spares and training support.The fleetwide upgrade includes 44 surface ship and five submarine systems.

Two Patrol Vessels Launched for Indian Navy

Raytheon Anschütz Succeeds in SYNTACS SAT

Raytheon Anschütz, a leading integrator of naval integrated bridge systems, has successfully completed the Sea Acceptance Test (SAT) for the Synapsis Tactical Command System (SYNTACS) aboard a series of new Interceptors and Patrol Boats built at CMN’s Cherbourg shipyard in France. CMN is building a series of new HSI32 Interceptor vessels and Ocean Eagle 43 Patrol Boats. Raytheon Anschütz was selected as system integrator and supplier of their SYNTACS solution for the new vessels. SYNTACS is a scalable, efficient integrated mission management system solution, which has been developed to meet the specific tactical and command and control requirements of small and medium boats with a particular focus on the typical budget restrictions.

Transas T-Bridge Installed on Ice Class Vessels

Transas Marine informs it has installed and commissioned the Transas T-Bridge integrated bridge systems aboard three ice class vessels built by Keppel Singmarine, the specialized shipbuilding subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine. Transas supplied Integrated Bridge Systems including full navigation systems, external and internal communication systems and CCTV. Transas said its T-Bridge is designed to add further safety to navigation, simplify bridge operations and offers a flexible bridge configuration.

Raytheon Anschütz Expands US operations

Raytheon Company announced the launch of its new subsidiary, Raytheon Anschuetz USA LLC, located in San Diego, Calif. According to the company, Raytheon Anschuetz USA LLC aims to reinforce customer care and support for Raytheon Anschütz navigation systems in the United States for commercial ship owners and shipyards as well as government entities, including the Coast Guard, Military Sealift Command, Navy and Army. “In January 2012, Raytheon Anschütz returned to the U.S. navigation systems market with the establishment of a San Diego-based regional sales office. Northrop Grumman Awarded US$88-Million Navy Contract

According to the US Department of Defense, Navy, Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., Charlottesville, Va., is being awarded an $88,153,800 contract to acquire integrated bridge systems and steering/ship control systems, related hardware and associated services. DoD explains that the systems are comprised of chart servers, network interface boxes, flat panel displays, radar systems, navigation software, ship control software, global positioning systems, weather sensors, depth sensors, speed sensors, digital compass systems, ship control display systems and sonar systems. These items represent a modernization upgrade from existing systems currently in use.
