Beijer Electronics now extends the monitor and IPC product range for maritime applications with new widescreen models.

The new maritime monitor MTe T240 Nautic features a 23.6 inch widescreen format providing an extensive display area for well-structured machine and process visualization. Thanks to the novel LED backlight, the units fully excludes the use of high voltage components e.g. neon tubes and inverters, which often are sources of faulty operation.

Further the LED stripes guarantee a more evenly lighting compared with older tube backlight units. Another benefit of the LED technology will be achieved by the infinitely variable dimming down to zero. This feature is essential in bridges on vessels and control rooms with night operation conditions. The robust industrial products fit perfectly in consoles with 60 cm width dimensions. Thanks to this and its 16:9 screen format, the displays will used as easy to use successor to older monitors with 4:3 aspect ratio.

The same features are included in the EPC T240 C2D Nautic as well. Additionally the powerful industrial PC contains a variety of interfaces, e.g. Ethernet, USB, Serial, DVI and PCI slots. Special hard disk drives, developed for high vibration environments, ensure a reliable mass memory. In demand of rotation free memory, a 64 GByte solid state disk (SSD) comes as alternative medium, optionally with pre-installed Win7. Both devices, monitor and IPC, are available with touch display or with anti reflexion glass front.
