Exxon Mobil Marine Fuels (EMMF) has paid tribute to the vital contribution made to its flawless safety record by its staff and by a network of contractors throughout the world. EMMF is the world's largest supplier of marine fuels. It has a supply presence in over 300 ports in more than 70 countries, through which more than 15m tons of marine fuel are supplied annually. ExxonMobil, Imperial Oil Employ DH Barge in Vancouver

ExxonMobil Marine Fuels (EMMF) and Imperial Oil have commissioned a new double-hull barge to complement existing marine fuels services at Canada's port of Vancouver. The state-of-the art ITB Provider, owned by established Vancouver operator Island Tug & Barge, has a fuel capacity of 2,200 tonnes, and can deliver HFO/IFO and MGO simultaneously at a rate of up to 500 tonnes per hour. It will complement the ITB2, which is already refuelling vessels at Vancouver, and the Imperial Oil barge Imperial Nootka, which is supplying marine lubricants and smaller MGO deliveries. EMMF Enters Gulf Coast Barge Market

ExxonMobil Marine Fuels (EMMF) announced it is to offer a full range of marine fuels (HFO and MDO) for barge delivery in the ports of Beaumont, Port Neches, Port Arthur, Orange, and the Lake Charles area of the US Gulf Coast. This new service extends EMMF's previous USGC sales capability and improves its global supply network consistent with the efforts to meet the needs of its customers. ExxonMobil Marine Fuels (EMMF) has re-entered the Gibraltar bunker supply market, after an absence of two years. EMMF has secured availability of a full range of products, including fuel oil, diesel and gas oil, in Gibraltar. Iain White, business development manager at EMMF, says, " Gibraltar is a strategically important center for the supply of marine bunkers. ExxonMobil Offers 500 Cst Fuel Grade in Singapore

ExxonMobil Marine Fuels (EMMF) is now able to supply a heavier grade of bunker fuel at the port of Singapore. EMMF, which recently equipped its facilities at Singapore to provide for custody sampling of bunkers a full six weeks ahead of new local bunkering regulations, says it can now supply fuel of up to 500 centiStokes at the port. Customers can benefit from cost savings in using this new fuel without impairing the performance of their vessels, as most modern ships are designed to burn fuel with viscosity above the conventional 380 centiStokes. The new grade has typical spec properties similar to the 380 product, with the exception that it has a maximum density of 0.998 and a viscosity of 500 cSt.

ExxonMobil Marine Fuels (EMMF) has re-entered the Panama bunker supply market, after an absence of three months. EMMF will continue to use existing storage facilities and delivery operations. It will be selling a full range of products - including fuel oil, intermediate grades and gas oil - in Panama. EU to Develop Sulfur Strategy

The EU is limbering up to set new restrictions on sulfur in marine fuels, if MARPOL Annex VI is not implemented quickly, explains Ian Adams, secretary general of the International Bunker Industry Association (IBIA). At the same time, the European Commission aims to clarify its own directive on sulfur limits for marine diesel oil, which have been subject to different interpretations in different countries. Exxonmobil Signs Agreement

EXXONMOBIL Marine Fuels (EMMF), the world's largest supplier of marine fuels, has signed a supply agreement with NT Marine of Estonia, the biggest marine fuels trader in the region extending from Tallin in Estonia to St. Petersburg in Russia. Autoship Systems, per its partnership with Stargate, an ISP/ASP provider, has developed jointly a web site whereby their loading planning software, LPS, can be used remotely. Utilizing thin client technology, Autoship can now enable internationally located clients to work with LPS without actually implementing the software on their personal computers. Remote access through the Internet allows users to run deploy LPS using any available computer with Internet connection. In addition, the thin client technology allows multiple users to run the same instance of LPS concurrently. ExxonMobil Marine Fuels (EMMF) will begin trading marine fuels on the Internet and has signed the first of several agreements with an e-commerce portal.

Moves at ExxonMobil Marine Fuels International Team

ExxonMobil Marine Fuels (EMMF) has appointed Ahmed Zaki and Boris Nigbur to its international team based in Leatherhead, near London in the U.K. Ahmed joins from ExxonMobil's local affiliate in Egypt, where he worked in Marine Fuels Business Development. Boris has come from the company's subsidiary in Germany, where he was involved in Marine Sales. Meanwhile, Emmanuel Onillon and Neal Bolton have left EMMF to pursue interests elsewhere. The website offers a broad range of services, including online bunker enquiries and technical advice facilities. The site also provides a comprehensive overview of the specifications of the fuel sold by EMMF. ExxonMobil Launches Deliveries in Istanbul

EXXONMOBIL Marine Fuels (EMMF)has started delivering Marine Gas Oil (DMA) in Istanbul, Turkey. Operations, which began in March 2005, are carried out from the Cekmece terminal in Ambarli, which is about two hours from Kumkapi, the main anchorage area of Istanbul. The main advantage of this location is shorter operational lead times, which helps to ensure timely deliveries to customers. The product is delivered by a contracted barge, the 'Kucukkoy', which has a capacity of 220 tons, and is operated by EB Petrol Ltd. ExxonMobil Marine Fuels (EMMF) has strengthened its presence in the Gulf region by securing an agreement to supply bunkers ex-pipe at the Sun Nederland Terminal near Beaumont,Texas. The new supply location will offer a full range of bunker products, comprising IFO 380, IFO 180 and MDO at the Sun Nederland terminal berths 1-4. The facility is primarily a crude storage and distribution terminal capable of handling barge traffic and vessels up to Aframax size.
