General Dynamics C4 Systems’ cyber-defense products team recently delivered the 100,000th TACLANE®-Micro (KG-175D) in-line network encryptor to the U.S. Navy’s Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR). SPAWAR develops, delivers and sustains communications capabilities for warfighters, keeping them connected wherever they are around the world. Introduced in 2007, the rugged TACLANE-Micro is one of the most popular in-line network encryptor certified by the National Security Agency (NSA) to protect information classified Top Secret and below.

The TACLANE-Micro provides cyber defense for networks operating in U.S. government agencies, embassies and military command and operation centers worldwide. It is also aboard military vehicles, securing voice and data communications on the move including network communications during joint U.S. military, NATO and coalition operations.

“With more than 100,000 TACLANE-Micro encryptors in place around the world, this rugged, compact encryptor has become the de facto standard for network cyber defense for the U.S. government,” said Chris Marzilli, president of General Dynamics C4 Systems. “Building on 50-year legacy in developing next-generation cyber-defense products, the company expects to receive NSA certification for our newest encryptor, the ultra high-speed TACLANE-10G in the next few months.”

The newest members of the General Dynamics family of cyber-defense products includes the TACLANE 10G (KG-175X) High-assurance Internet Protocol Encryptor (HAIPE) encrpytor that delivers 10 gigabits of information per second, the horsepower needed to send and receive huge files from data centers and similar facilities with unprecedented speed and fidelity.  Next, the rugged TACLANE-1G (KG-175G), recently certified by the NSA for Top Secret/SCI and below, offers the same high level of cyber-security but scoped for U.S. government and military organizations operating in austere tactical environments.

Both TACLANE-10G and 1G have advanced cyber-sensing technology that identifies possible threats, including malware and viruses embedded deeply within data and information packets moving through a classified network.

Other cyber-defense products offered by General Dynamics include the TACLANE-MultiBook™, a trusted computing laptop with secure data storage, enables mobile military and government personnel to simultaneously access the public Internet and secure government networks classified at the Secret level and below. The Sectera® vIPer™ phone that provides the latest technology for both non-secure and secure end-to-end Voice over IP and analog networks, eliminating the need for multiple desktop phones. The vIPer phone is the only VoIP phone certified to protect information classified Top Secret/SCI and below over commercial networks.
