Hyde Marine Names Scanunit Ab as the Exclusive Agent for Sales Of Hyde

Calgon Carbon Corporation (NYSE: CCC) announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary, Hyde Marine, Inc., has named Scanunit Ab as the exclusive sales agent in Sweden for Hyde GUARDIAN® Ballast Water Treatment (BWT) Systems.

 

According to Chris Todd, sales director, Hyde Marine, Inc., Scanunit will begin selling, installing and servicing Hyde GUARDIAN BWT systems effective immediately. "We are pleased to partner with Scanunit," said Todd. "The company has an outstanding reputation for being a leading provider of comprehensive equipment installation and service. We are excited about the opportunity to continue the growth of Hyde Marine in the region."

 

Since its inception in the 1960s by Brostroms shipping company, Scanunit Ab has expanded its services to now become one of Scandinavia's leading providers of complete solutions in lifting and maintenance for the maritime and industrial sectors. The company is ISO certified (9001:2008, and 4001:2004).

 

The chemical free Hyde GUARDIAN BWT process uses efficient filtration and ultraviolet disinfection to treat ships' ballast water to prevent the spread of invasive species from port to port.   The Hyde GUARDIAN unit received International Maritime Organization (IMO) Type Approval in April 2009 and has Type Approvals from several Class Societies
