Exmar Commissions Tango FLNG

Belgian owner and operator of gas carriers Exmar has completed the commissioning of the 16,100 cbm Tango floating liquefaction unit (FLNG).The performance acceptance tests has been successful, the first cargo has been offloaded and will be exported out of Argentina, said a release from the provider of specialized floating assets.With this first shipment the start-up of the Tango FLNG is accomplished in a record time following the contract signing in November 2018 and delivery acceptance of the unit in Bahia Blanca in February 2019. Wison Bags FEED Contract for FLNG Project from Western LNG

Wison Offshore & Marine and Western LNG signed a technical service agreement (TSA) for the new floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) project that Western is developing in British Columbia, Canada.Pursuant to the TSA, Wison will develop the basis of design (BOD) and carry out front-end engineering design (FEED) for the proposed FLNG to be sited at the proposed facility.Western has also agreed to the appointment of Wison as the EPC service provider for the floating liquefaction plant upon project FID.Under the terms of the TSA, Wison will provide a cost competitive FEED package utilizing its experienced in-house design team and execution methodology that has been optimized based on the successful delivery of the Caribbean FLNG.

Wison Offshore & Marine announced it has been awarded a contract to carry out front-end engineering design (FEED) for a proposed floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) project sited in British Columbia, Canada.Wison said it has entered into a Technical Service Agreement (TSA) with the project’s developer Western LNG LLC, pursuant to which Wison will develop the basis of design (BOD) and carry out FEED wordk. Wärtsilä to Acquire Puregas Solutions

Wärtsilä said it has reached a deal to acquire a Sweden based provider of turnkey biogas upgrading solutions, Puregas Solutions. The transaction is valued (enterprise value) at SEK 280m ($34.5 million) with an additional maximum sum of SEK 70m ($8.6 million) to be paid based on the performance of the business in the coming year. Puregas, a leading player in its field with subsidiary companies in Germany, Denmark, the U.K., and the U.S., utilizes a unique CApure process to convert raw biogas to biomethane and renewable natural gas. According to Wärtsilä, the acquisition will provide added equipment and expertise in biogas upgrading, and will complement well the company's existing position in the biogas liquefaction market.

Keppel to Deliver World's First Converted FLNGV

Keppel Offshore & Marine's (Keppel O&M) wholly-owned subsidiary, Keppel Shipyard Ltd (Keppel Shipyard), will soon deliver the world's first converted Floating Liquefaction Vessel (FLNGV) owned by Golar Hilli Corporation (Golar), a subsidiary of Golar LNG Ltd. The vessel was named Hilli Episeyo at a ceremony in Keppel Shipyard today. Upon its completion, the FLNGV will be put in operation offshore Kribi, Cameroon for Société Nationale des Hydrocarbures and Perenco Cameroon SA, and will be the first FLNGV project in Africa. Chris Ong, CEO of Keppel O&M said, "We are proud to be able to deliver the world's first FLNGV conversion in partnership with Golar LNG within three years and with a commendable safety record.

FLNG deal-making has been sporadic since Woodside Petroleum at the end of 2013 delayed a final investment decision for the giant Browse FLNG project off Northwest Australia. The previous year had seen go-aheads for most of the floating liquefied natural gas projects (FLNG) underway today, including Shell’s Prelude FLNG — Woodside’s choice, it seems, of a liquefaction solution for fields 200 kilometers offshore. Yet Prelude, “the first project out”, might not be first to produce.

Exmar, Excelerate Alliance for FLSO Solution

Exmar announced the formation of an alliance to advance its efforts in the development of floating liquefaction solutions. Exmar has formalized a relationship with its long-time LNG partner, Excelerate, and with Black & Veatch, a provider of natural gas processing and liquefaction technology. “This partnership forms a basis for the development of the first floating liquefaction, storage and offloading solution in the world" said Nicolas Saverys, Chief Executive Officer of Exmar NV. The FLSO combines the liquefaction process, storage tanks, loading systems, and other LNG-related infrastructure into a single floating unit.
