Golar LNG CEO Ross Resigns

Golar LNG said on Monday its chief executive officer Iain Ross has tendered his resignation, and the company will immediately start the process to recruit his successor.The liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipping company said the contractual termination period is six months, though it can be prolonged or reduced upon mutual agreement.Ross joined Golar LNG as CEO in September 2017 after holding various leadership roles at WorleyParsons.

Lundin Norway Awards EPCI Contract to WorleyParsons

Rosenberg WorleyParsons has been awarded an engineering, procurement, construction and installation contract (EPCI) by Lundin Norway ASO in the Norwegian Continental Shelf.The services include planning, engineering, prefabrication, offshore installation and commissioning support. The objective of the modification is to prepare Lundin’s Edvard Grieg platform to receive and process oil and gas from nearby offshore fields.The project starts immediately and has a duration of two and a half years. Golar LNG Appoints Iain Ross as CEO

Shipping company Golar LNG Ltd said it has appointed Iain Ross as its new chief executive.   Ross succeeds Oscar Spieler, who was appointed as CEO last year after having previously led the company between July 2009 and June 2011.   Spieler was in charge of the company's FLNG Hilli Episeyo project and is leaving after its delivery, but would remain with the group as executive adviser, the company said in a statement.   Ross has joined Golar from project delivery company WorleyParsons Ltd, Golar LNG said.   Reporting by Kanishka Singh

WorleyParsons Wins Contract from Saudi Aramco for Marjan Oilfield

Australia's WorleyParsons has won a contract from state oil firm Saudi Aramco to conduct engineering and design work for offshore facilities and pipelines for the expansion of the Marjan oilfield in Saudi Arabia, industry sources told Reuters. Worleyparsons and Saudi Aramco declined to comment. Under the new contract, the Australian company will design and engineer new offshore facilities such as platforms and additional pipelines to link to a new gas facility in Tanajib on the Gulf coast, and from Tanajib to the expanded natural gas liquid (NGL) facility in Khursaniyah, one of the sources said. Saudi Aramco is expanding the oilfield to meet increased demand for gas at home.

GasLog Appoints Bruno Larsen to Head FSRU

GasLog Ltd has appointed Bruno Larsen as head of floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) development. Larsen has previous experience in both the LNG and FSRU sectors, and will take the lead in the company’s commercial FSRU activities. He has previously served in senior roles for WorleyParsons, BW Offshore, Hamworthy, Hoegh LNG and Total. GasLog is currently evaluating a number of FSRU opportunities as well as undertaking a front-end engineering and design (FEED) study at the Keppel shipyard in Singapore. The study is focused on the potential conversion of GasLog’s and GasLog Partners LP’s existing steam and tri-fuel diesel electric LNG carriers into FSRU vessels. Neil Mackintosh apponted President of INTECSEA

WorleyParsons announced the appointment of Neil Mackintosh as INTECSEA president, following the retirement of Uri Nooteboom. Mackintosh will join INTECSEA on July 8, 2014 and be based in Houston, Texas. Departing president Uri Nooteboom will assist Mackintosh with his transition until the end of August and be available as an advisor to Neil thereafter. Nooteboom joined INTECSEA in 1990. Over the years he has taken on leadership roles of increasing responsibility and in 2010 was named president of INTECSEA. Incoming president Neil Mackintosh joins INTECSEA from Genesis Subsea (Technip) where he recently served as Senior Vice President. Prior to Technip, he held multiple commercial, technical and operational leadership roles with McDermott, Flow Control and Cameron.

Foster Wheeler's subsidiary awarded contract by LNG Canada

Foster Wheeler AG (Nasdaq:FWLT) announced today that a subsidiary of its Global Engineering and Construction Group, in joint venture with affiliates of Chiyoda Corporation, Saipem S.p.A. and WorleyParsons Limited (“CFSW JV”), has been awarded a contract by LNG Canada Development Inc. (“LNG Canada”) for the provision of front-end engineering design (“FEED”) and project execution services for a proposed liquefied natural gas (LNG) export project, known as the LNG Canada Project, in Kitimat, British Columbia. The contract value was not disclosed. Foster Wheeler’s portion of the FEED phase will be included in the company’s second-quarter 2014 bookings.

LNG Canada Awards Export Terminal Contract

LNG Canada, a joint venture led by Royal Dutch Shell, said on Tuesday that it had awarded the design and eventual construction of its planned liquefied natural gas (LNG) export project on Canada's west coast to CFSW LNG Constructors. The contract covers the front end engineering and design work, as well as the execution of the multi-billion dollar project, pending a final investment decision. Jumbo Shipping, Pluto LNG Phase I

Jumbo Shipping’s heavy lift vessel Daniella has completed her 11th and final voyage for the Pluto LNG project in Dampier, Australia. Between October 2008 and October 2009 she transported 256 pieces of equipment for this project, including pre-assembled structures and pipe racks weighing up to 240 tonnes. HLV Fairlift has completed 12 voyages and will start the final phase of another 5 shipments. The Pluto LNG project in Dampier is developed by EPC-contractor Foster Wheeler WorleyParsons (FWW) for Australian energy major Woodside.

OPE Awards SSP-320 Design to WorleyParsons

OPE, Inc. has awarded WorleyParsons SEA Engineering the detailed design of the SSP-320 Hull. The Satellite Services Platform (SSP) is a patented spherical-shaped floating vessel with a unique center column that provides measurable advantages over ship-shaped vessels and traditional platforms. The SSP project engineering team is expected to deliver the specified material and fabrication packages in the third quarter of 2008 to obtain accurate construction quotes and shipyard availability. This model has a 1,250,000 barrel oil storage capacity and 80,000 bopd production capacity.

ExxonMobil Awards Design Contracts

ExxonMobil has awarded four engineering design contracts for a possible second world-scale steam-cracking complex in Singapore. The complex is to be located at the company's existing refining and chemical site at Jurong Island. All the four contracts concern the design of different stages of the chemical refining process. One contract was given to Aker Kvaerner to design a polyethylene unit. Mitsui Engineering and Shipbuilding won a deal to design the steam-cracker's polypropylene and specialty elastomers units. Another contract was awarded to Foster Wheeler and WorleyParsons for the design of an aromatics extraction unit, an oxo alcohol plant expansion, and associated plant infrastructure. Mustang Engineering was awarded the contract to design the process control and instrumentation.
