ExxonMobil Has New Supply on Gulf Coast

September 16, 2002

ExxonMobil Marine Fuels (EMMF) has strengthened its presence in the Gulf region by securing an agreement to supply bunkers ex-pipe at the Sun Nederland Terminal near Beaumont,Texas. The new supply location will offer a full range of bunker products, comprising IFO 380, IFO 180 and MDO at the Sun Nederland terminal berths 1-4. The facility is primarily a crude storage and distribution terminal capable of handling barge traffic and vessels up to Aframax size. Joe Rud, general manager of fleet purchasing, business development and e-commerce at EMMF, says, "We are delighted to have strengthened our presence in this strategic area, particularly since many of the vessels going into the Sun Nederland terminal are under contract to ExxonMobil. The operation of the Sun Nederland pipeline facility accords perfectly with the EMMF philosophy of providing a guarantee of quality control to its customers."
