Ferguson Group Singapore, a specialist in the provision of DNV 2.7-1 / EN12079 offshore containers, reefers, tanks, waste skips, baskets, accommodation and engineering workspace modules has announced the appointment of OPS Oilfield Equipment and Services Ltd (OPS-OES) as the group’s new exclusive partner for Thailand.

Bangkok Headquartered OPS Oilfield Equipment and Services Ltd, has been servicing the offshore and onshore energy sector in Thailand for many years.  It covers offshore operations from bases in Songkhla and Sattahip.

The new bases in Thailand will allow our partner, OPS-OES, to service the region with a full range of CCUs (cargo carrying units) including dry goods, open tops, half heights, skips and cargo baskets – all manufactured and certified to DNV 2.7-1 / EN 12079. OPS-OES joins other Ferguson Group Singapore partners based in Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei supplying units from bases that are close to the offshore projects across the region.

Ole Siefert, OPS-OES said, “The new partnership with Ferguson Group Singapore will further strengthen the OPS-OES support to the energy sector in Thailand.  It is a perfect fit for both parties and for the clients, having logistic bases at strategic location in Thailand, means efficient support 24/7 with mobilization at short notice and low transport costs.”

OPS-OES has its own in-house inspection services complete with client approved third party load testing certification agency.

Simon de Koning, Business Unit Manager, Ferguson Group Singapore said, “It is important to be where our customers need us and having a partnership with OPS-OES means that we can further provide an efficient service to offshore oil and gas projects in Thailand. Our new partner has bases across Thailand and years of industry experience. This, coupled with the Ferguson Group range of DNV 2.7-1 offshore containers, means that we can jointly provide a full supply and support service to our customers.”

Late 2014, Ferguson Group Singapore’s Malaysian partner opened an additional facility in Kemaman, Malaysia, which has yard facilities for storage servicing and maintenance of the fleet of DNV 2.7-1 offshore containers which had recently arrived in-country, further growing the Malaysian fleet.

Recently Ferguson Group has made design enhancements to several products that are to be intriduced in South East Asia. Its 4.8m and 6m workspace modules have a new HVAC system that can operate efficiently at higher ambient temperatures and manages high humidity levels for extended period of time without loss of efficiency, making for a more comfortable and safer working environment.
