Ferry Captain Issued Subpoena

Photo credtit: Barbara H. As announced on Friday, October 17, 2003, the National Transportation Safety Board had scheduled an interview for today with the Captain of the Barberi. Although NTSB personnel have been working with attorneys for the Captain since Thursday in an effort to obtain his account of events, the Board has been advised that the Captain will not present himself to NTSB investigators today. Therefore, the Board has issued a subpoena for the Captain to appear before NTSB investigators and parties to the Board's investigation tomorrow.
