JSI Alliance Completes Scope of Work in Basrah Refinery Upgrading Project

On 11 March, MV Svenja discharged her cargo of nine modules, marking the completion of the JSI Alliance’s scope of work in the Basrah Refinery Upgrading Project in Iraq for JGC Corporation.The Alliance dedicated two vessels to the project: the Jumbo Kinetic with her two 1,500t cranes, and the MV Svenja with two 1,000t cranes. Together, the vessels undertook transport of 84 modules using JCG's specially designed lifting frame. CIMC Raffles to Build 2nd Offshore Wind Turbine Installation Vessel for Havfram Wind

Offshore wind installation firm Havfram Wind has ordered a second Wind Turbine Installation Vessel (WTIV).This is the first optional vessel ordered under the existing shipbuilding contract with China's CIMC Raffles.The vessel design will be similar to the first GustoMSC NG20000X Jack-Up vessel currently under construction. Westwood: Record Levels of FPS Throughput Capacity to be Sanctioned in 2022

As we enter the final month of 2022, a review of the floating production system (FPS) market revealed that some E&Ps have been bold with investments in the development of their oil and gas (O&G) reserves, with a total of 1.9 mmboepd (1.3 mmbpd of oil and 3.8 bcfd of gas) of FPS throughput capacity sanctioned year to date (YTD). This represents a 7% increase on 2021, with Westwood anticipating an additional 180 kboepd of FPS throughput capacity to be sanctioned before the end of the year.

Keppel Offshore & Marine Reels in $186M in New Contracts

Singapore's Keppel Offshore & Marine said Wednesday it had secured contracts worth around S$250 million (~$186 million) for the conversion of a Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU), integration of a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel, and the "jumboisation" of two Trailing Suction Hopper Dredgers (TSHD).For the first contract, Keppel Shipyard has received the Final Notice to Proceed (FNTP) from GAS-fifteen Ltd, a  GasLog Carriers subsidiary, for the conversion of a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Carrier into an FSRU.
