Coast Guard Foundation Hosts Annual Tribute

The Coast Guard Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to the education and welfare of all Coast Guard members and their families, announced today that its 11th Annual Tribute to the United States Coast Guard in Our Nation’s Capital will take place on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at the National Building Museum, Washington, D.C. The Honorable James R. Clapper, Director of National Intelligence and Admiral Paul F. Zukunft, Commandant of the Coast Guard will deliver keynote remarks. CNN’s Kyra Phillips, and Fox News’ John Roberts will emcee the event. The event is chaired by Coast Guard Foundation board members Admiral Thad Allen, USCG (Ret.) and Corrine Kosar. The seven living past commandants of the United States Coast Guard are honorary co-chairs of the event. This event will celebrate the best of the Coast Guard’s mission over the last 225 years.

“The Coast Guard Foundation’s annual tribute in our Nation’s capital is always a spectacular event and this year will be no exception,” said Anne Brengle, president, Coast Guard Foundation. “The Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the lives of the men and women of the Coast Guard and their families; our Washington tribute pays respect to everything they do throughout America.”

The Honorable James R. Clapper has served as the Director of National Intelligence since August 2010. As Director of National Intelligence, Clapper leads the United States Intelligence Community and serves as the principal intelligence advisor to the President.

Admiral Paul Zukunft serves as the 25th Commandant of the United States Coast Guard. In his role, he leads the largest component of the Department of Homeland Security, composed of 88,000 personnel including active duty, reserve, civilian and volunteer auxiliarists.

Kyra Phillips is a news anchor and investigative and documentary correspondent for CNN. John Roberts is the senior national correspondent at Fox News. Both Phillips and Roberts have received numerous awards for their work, including several Emmy awards.

The Coast Guard Foundation’s 11th Annual Tribute to the United States Coast Guard in Our Nation’s Capital will take place Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at the National Building Museum, 440 G Street NW, Washington, D.C.
