Transocean Awarded $222 Million Drillship Contract

The 4th Edition of Oil Spill India (OSI) 2016 is all set to be launched at the JW Marriot Sahar, Mumbai. FRP Boat Built in India Using DIAB Materials

Arabian Sea Contract for Technip Consortium

Technip, in a consortium with Afcons and TH Heavy Engineering, awarded offshore India contract. The contract, worth in total about 50-million Euros, awarded by Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC), is for the Heera Redevelopment (HRD) process platform project in the Arabian Sea, approximately 70 km South-West of Mumbai, India. Installation of a new bridge connecting the existing HRC process platform, the strengthening of the existing bridge and the modification on an existing HRC process platform to ensure interconnections between all the process lines and the utilities. Technip’s operating center in Mumbai, India will execute the overall engineering and procurement of tagged equipment of the project.

Wärtsilä Ship Design Contract for 12 Vessels

Wärtsilä, ship power system integrator, has signed a ship design contract with Pipavav Shipyard of India. The contract calls for a total of 12 Offshore Supply Vessels (OSVs) to be designed by Wärtsilä and built by Pipavav, for delivery to ONGC - Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd, which is the largest oil and gas producer in India. Garware Offshore Receives New PSV

Garware Offshore Services Ltd announced that it has taken delivery of a newbuild PSV, Kamet, which was built by Havyard Leirvik in Norway. The vessel, which is a UT 755L with clean notation, DP1 and FiFi1 left Norway recently and is due in India by the third week of June 2007. Hindujas to Buy LNG from ONGC

Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC) and Hinduja Group signed a Memoranda of Understanding to form Joint Ventures to pursue global opportunities in Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and linked E&P business. The collaboration will leverage the E&P expertise of ONGC and the business-relationship advantage of the Hinduja Group in the hydrocarbon-rich Middle East, with business prospectivity benefits to both entities. ONGC, SCI Enter MoU

Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (ONGC) and Shipping Corporation of Indian (SCI) have entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for setting up a joint venture company called Offshore Marine Services Ltd (OMSL). The joint venture company will provide end-to-end solutions for vessel operations for ONGC and other oil and gas companies. It will also develop capabilities for acquisition, repair and maintenance of offshore floating units and undertake repair and construction on long-term arrangement with shipyard facilities on preferential terms and competitive basis. ONGC will give its vessels on bare boat charter agreement to the joint venture and will retain right of first refusal on deployment of these vessels as per requirement.

Transocean Deepwater Drillship Gets 3-Year Contract

Transocean Inc. has announced that the deepwater drillship Discoverer Seven Seas has been awarded a three-year contract from Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (ONGC) of India. The integrated services contract is expected to commence in the first quarter of 2004, following the mobilization of the rig from a Brazilian shipyard to India. Exclusive of a mobilization fee, the contract includes revenue for the Discoverer Seven Seas of approximately $137 million over three years, plus revenues for comprehensive services that include well-planning, operations support and logistics-management. The Discover Seven Seas is a dynamically positioned drillship capable of drilling in water depths up to 7,000 feet.

Transocean Wins Contracts for Rigs

The Transocean Leader, a fourth-generation, deepwater semi-submersible rig, won a one-year contract from Statoil ASA for exploration and development drilling operations offshore Norway. The Transocean Leader is expected to commence the contract by September 2007, in direct continuation of the rig's current contract, also with Statoil in Norway. Expected revenues are approximately $133 million. Additionally, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (ONGC) of India awarded the ultra-deepwater drillship Discoverer Seven Seas a three-year contract for drilling operations offshore India. The drillship is expected to complete its current three-year contract with ONGC by February 2007 and commence the new contract by the end of May 2007, following an estimated 90-day planned shipyard program.
