MJP Introduces Next Generation of WaterJet Propulsion – X Series
Marine Jet Power (MJP) has unveiled its latest advancement in waterjet technology, the X Series, at the SeaWork International exhibition in Southampton, UK. Featuring the latest advancements in waterjet propulsion, the X Series is the culmination of precision engineering and years of experience creating stainless steel mixed flow propulsion solutions. The new range of waterjets capitalize on MJPs successful duplex steel product line by offering a highly efficient, highly durable product at a much lower price point. The unique technology behind the X Series reduces power demand by up to 20 percent and can reduce weight by up to 10 percent compared to axial flow jets.
MJP to Unveil New Waterjets at SeaWork
Waterjet propulsion specialist Marine Jet Power (MJP) said its plans to roll out its new X Series range of waterjets at the upcoming SeaWork Exhibition.MJP said the new range of waterjets capitalize on its duplex steel product line by offering an efficient, durable product at a much lower price point. Additionally, the new jets have been designed for easy installation, maintainability in the field and feature advancements in steering and maneuverability with improved reversing and stopping characteristics.“The X Series is the result of the ambition to create the highest performing, most efficient waterjet on the market,” said Magnus Sörenson, MJP CEO.
Kongsberg Launches Laser-based Reference System
Kongsberg Seatex launched SpotTrack, a multi-target laser based relative position reference system. SpotTrack delivers accurate range and bearing measurements and is primarily intended for Dynamic Positioning (DP) operations. Kongsberg Describes SpotTrack as a robust, lightweight, motion stabilized rotating laser sensor offering precision range and bearing readings to one or multiple retro-reflective targets. As a multi-target sensor, SpotTrack uses an advanced detection system and tracking algorithms for true target recognition – minimizing lock-on to false reflections.
Kongsberg Launch SpotTrack™ DP Reference System
Kongsberg Seatex's SpotTrack™ is an advanced multi-target laser based relative position reference system. SpotTrack delivers accurate range and bearing measurements and is primarily intended for Dynamic Positioning (DP) operations. SpotTrack™ is a highly robust, yet lightweight, motion stabilised rotating laser sensor offering precision range and bearing readings to one or multiple retro-reflective targets. As a multi-target sensor, it uses an advanced detection system and tracking algorithms for true target recognition – minimising lock-on to false reflections.
