Bristol Harbor Group, Inc. (BHGI) is a full service naval architecture and marine engineering firm located on the harbor in Bristol, Rhode Island. BHGI has produced more than 50 unique designs to which more than 100 vessels have been built. Specializing in commercial vessel design and consulting, the firm’s experience spans tugs, barges, ATB’s, passenger vessels, dredges and yachts. The BHGI professional team hails from some of the best naval architecture schools in the country. BHGI has been working on a number of projects through its second contract with the U.S.

GL Noble Denton Hires 700 Technical Experts

Over the next two years GL Noble Denton plans to hire more than 700 new technical personnel, engineers and marine operations specialists. GL Noble Denton is the newly rebranded technical service provider for the oil and gas industry with a comprehensive service portfolio combining former marine and offshore consultancy Noble Denton with GL's oil and gas division. GL Noble Denton is part of the GL Group and currently employs over 2,900 technical and operations specialists and experts in 54 offices throughout the globe.

GL Acquires Advantica

Germanischer Lloyd acquires the British Advantica Holding, based in Loughborough, with 660 employees worldwide from National Grid plc. With this acquisition, Germanischer Lloyd will double its turnover in the oil and gas industry and significantly strengthen its position in the UK, Middle East and US markets. Advantica concentrates on oil and gas installations and pipeline networks and is therefore an expert for risk and safety analyzes, offering consulting services for installation design and the optimization of operations. To date, the Germanischer Lloyd Industrial Services unit has focused on asset and process safety, production know-how and inspections as well as evaluation of structures and safety related components.
