Kalmar to Deliver Forklift to Antwerp

The provider of lifting solutions, Kalmar has been awarded a contract to supply Antwerp Euroterminal NV (AET) with six Kalmar forklifts of varying specifications, including one fully electric model.The order, which also includes a Kalmar Complete Care service contract covering all the machines, was booked in Cargotec's 2019 Q2 order intake with delivery scheduled to be completed during Q4 2019.AET, is the largest multipurpose terminal in Europe and home to vessels of the Grimaldi Group. The terminal specialises in different types of cargo including break bulk, containers, project cargo, and vehicles. The terminal is already home to a fleet of approximately 20 Kalmar forklifts with lifting capacities ranging from 12 to 37 tons.

Kiel Port Ends Most Successful Cruise Shipping Season

On Sunday October 28th with the visit of the “AIDAbella” Port of Kiel closed its latest cruise shipping season.This year the port has been visited 166 times by 33 different cruise ships with a combined gross tonnage of more than 11 million. Croatia Extends LNG Terminal Gas Bidding Deadline

A deadline for bids on output from a planned offshore liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal to be built on Croatia's northern Adriatic island of Krk has been extended until Sept. 28, developers LNG Croatia said on Friday.Demand will dictate the capacity of the 250 million euro terminal, which is part of EU-led efforts to diversify away from Russian energy imports.The deadline on bidding for output was Aug. 3 but was delayed on requests from potential customers who are still in negotiations, LNG Croatia said.The European Commission this week said it had earmarked 124 million euros for the project which will supply gas to countries in eastern and central Europe…

Green Reefers Invests in Polish Terminal

Green Reefers ASA increased its share in the Polish terminal Euro Terminal Sp.z.o.o.; formerly Odraport. An agreement has been reached to acquire Frax AS' 6 percent shares in Odra Industries ASA, the holding company of Euro Terminal. Green Reefers will thereafter own 31 percent in the terminal. Euro Terminal owns and operates a port in the northwestern corner of Poland with a total cold store capacity of 30,000 tons. Euro Terminal is the main port for Green Reefers in Poland. The port is serving the markets in Poland, Central- and Eastern Europe.
