AMETEK Land Launches New Emissions Monitoring Systems

AMETEK Land, a provider of combustion efficiency and environmental pollutant emissions monitoring instrumentation, has launched two new continuous emission monitoring systems (PM-CEMS) to provide accurate and reliable measurement of particulate matter from industrial combustion processes in stacks and ducts.The AMETEK Land 4650-PM is an extremely stable and accurate low-range particulate matter measurement system designed for CEMS applications where condensed water is not present in the flue gas.

A Bumpy Ride: China's New Maritime Silk Route

China has been pressing ahead with its ‘One Belt, One Road’ (OBOR) initiative – comprised of the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st-century Maritime Silk Road (pictured) – which was launched in 2015. Alibra Shipping Research is taking a look on China's plans. The ambitious scheme will build pipelines, ports and roads in areas home to about 65% of the world’s population and will affect about 25% of all the goods and services the world moves. Seaway Cargo Movements Pick up Ahead of Winter

Shipments through the St. Lawrence Seaway remained strong in October as North American manufacturers and cities stockpiled vital materials in advance of the coming winter and farmers relied on the waterway to export the new harvest. Hope Services Delivers M/V Lisa Marie

On December 17, 2009, the M/V Lisa Marie departed Hope Services Shipyard to join La Crosse, Wisconsin, based Brennan Marine’s tug fleet. The new towboat was delivered on schedule a common practice for Hope Service’s shipyard that has a five month turnaround on this type of tug classification. The 72 ft by 30 ft push tug has a 10 ft depth and 29 ft eye height. The three deck vessel is outfitted with two new Tier II type engines carrying a vessel rating of 2000 hp. The M/V Lisa Marie is the second vessel built by Hope for J.F. Brennan this year.

Hope Delivers Vessel to J.F. Brennan

On June 19, 2009,the M/V Roger Binsfeld departed from Hope Services Inc.’s Dulac, LA shipyard to join J.F. Brennan’s tug fleet in La Crosse, WI. The new towboat was built ahead of schedule - a common practice for Hope Service’s shipyard that is averaging delivery of six new hulls a year. The 72 ft x 30 ft push tug has a 10 ft depth and 29 ft eye height and is outfitted with two new Tier 2 type engines carrying a vessel rating of 2000 HP. The M/V Roger Binsfeld was built with extra reinforcement in its push knees and hull and will begin working for Brennan in St.
