MSC Offers Direct Houston-Brazil Container Service

June 10, 2013

Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) container ships link Brazilian ports with the Port of Houston.

The new service brings together the resources of one of the world's largest commercial shipping companies with Brazil's leading trading partner in containerized cargo -- the Port of Houston Authority – which has held the top trading spot since 2010.

The new service calls at Houston, Cristobal, Manaus, Navegantes, Santos, Pecem, Vila do Conde, Port of Spain, Cristobal and Houston. Its rotation is seven weeks with seven ships averaging 2,500 twenty-foot-equivalent units.

The service will call at the Port Authority's state-of-the-art Bayport Container Terminal in Pasadena.
