Lifting Gear Hire (LGH) announced a new addition to its rental fleet: the HT500, a jack and slide system manufactured by Hydra-Slide.

LGH will offer the 500-ton capacity hydraulically powered Hydra-Slide Heavy Track Skidding System (HT500) as it has been shown to be one of the most cost-effective and accurate methods for moving, loading or unloading all types of heavy loads. The new system will include 50 feet of double track (8” height) and four skid shoes. The track will come in 10’ and 15’ sections and is interconnected by simple pin connections. It can be "leap-frogged" for moving longer distances, as well.

The HT500 beam sections weigh approximately 190 lbs./ft. The "ratchet track" design facilitates continuous movement and automatic resetting of push cylinders. Loads can be moved in either direction by simply repositioning the push cylinders. The push cylinders themselves are modified and dedicated Enerpac double-acting cylinders. These and all connecting hardware will come packed conveniently in a steel toolbox for storage and convenience. Separately, the system is available with a synchronous 30-gallon hydraulic pump that is powered by diesel fuel.
