New Ice-Breakers for the Arctic

According to an Oct. 25 report from BarentsObserver.com, the State company Rosmorport is holding a competitive tender for construction of an ice-breaker at a price of $260m. The bidders are United Shipbuilding Corporation, Baltiysky Zavod and Nordic Yard shipyards. The winner may get a contract for construction of two more similar vessels.
