Silversea Cruises Names Barbara Muckermann President & CEO

Barbara Muckermann, currently chief commercial officer at Silversea Cruises, will become the company’s next president and CEO, and will join parent company Royal Caribbean Group’s executive committee, effective January 1.Muckermann will succeed Roberto Martinoli, who will assume the role of senior advisor to Royal Caribbean Group president and CEO Jason Liberty.She becomes the second woman to lead one of Royal Caribbean Group’s three wholly-owned brands, and joins Celebrity Cruises president and CEO Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, and Royal Caribbean International president and CEO Michael Bayley.

Maersk Product Tankers Names Gronborg CEO

Claus Gronborg has been appointed CEO of Maersk Product Tankers – one of the largest product tanker owners in the world.Gronborg takes over the leadership of Maersk Product Tankers on October 1 from Christian M. Ingerslev. Awilco Appoints New CEO

UK-based drilling contractor Awilco Drilling announced that tha appointment of  Jens Berge as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company. Petroleum Geo-Services Appoints Rune Olav Pedersen as President & CEO

The Board of Directors of Petroleum Geo-Services ASA (PGS) has appointed Rune Olav Pedersen (47) as the new President & CEO of the Company. He will succeed Jon Erik Reinhardsen on 1 September 2017. "The Board has run a thorough succession process since early spring, and assessed a number of very qualified Norwegian and international candidates. With the appointment of Mr. Pedersen, PGS will get a CEO with deep knowledge of the Company and industry and with strong execution capabilities. Thygesen Named CEO of Svitzer

Henriette H. Thygesen, currently Damco CEO for the Americas, has been appointed CEO of Svitzer with effect from September 1. Thygesen, who joined Maersk Group in 1994, has been with the group for 22 years, of which the last nine with Damco. She has previously worked for Maersk Tankers and Maersk Oil and prior to her current role, she was VP and CEO for Damco in North Asia, based in Hong Kong. Odfjell Elects Klaus Nyborg Director of the Board

Odfjell SE’s Extraordinary General Meeting, held December 9, 2015, supported the Nomination Committee's proposal and elected Klaus Nyborg as new director of the Board. Nyborg, a Danish citizen, owns no shares in Odfjell SE and has no formal ties to major shareholders of the company, according to Odfjell. Nyborg was recently Interim CEO of DS Norden AS from 2014-2015, where he has also been on the board since 2012, and chairman since 2015. He also serves board director of several other companies, including being chairman of A/S United Shipping & Trading Company and BAWAT A/S.

ISS: New Regional Team & Ops Division

Inchcape Shipping Services has announced its new regional team for Europe and North Africa following the creation of its new operations division. Reflecting ISS’ transition from eight regional profit centers within two hemispheres to four world regions and Japan, the new operations division is charged with delivering operational excellence, providing the very best products and quality of service, standardising work processes and optimising resources and capabilities. The Europe and North Africa operations team is the first of the four regional teams to be announced. A qualified chartered accountant with an MBA from London Business School, Mr Sharma joins RBG with more than 25 years finance experience and is based at the company’s Aberdeen, UK headquarters.

Green Named CEO P&O Nedlloyd Container Line

P&O and Royal Nedlloyd N.V. announced the appointment by P&O Nedlloyd Container Line Limited of Philip Green as Chief Executive Officer from January 1, 2004. Green was, until recentl,y Chief Operating Officer of Reuters Group plc which he joined in 1999. His responsibilities included the design and implementation of a global change management program. Prior to this he worked for nine years with DHL International, the global market leader for cross-border express delivery, becoming Chief Operating Officer for Europe and Africa. Green holds an MBA from London Business School and a BA (hons) degree from the University of Wales. Haddo Meijer, CEO of Royal Nedlloyd NV, will stand down as Chairman of the Executive Committee of P&O Nedlloyd on January 1, 2004.
