KVH Unveils TracVision TV10 Antenna

KVH Industries, Inc. launched the newest marine satellite TV antenna in its TracVision series. A 1-meter ultra-high efficiency marine antenna, the TracVision TV10 provides the biggest coverage footprint in KVH’s TracVision series and is designed to provide boat owners, charter yacht guests and commercial vessel crews with access to live news, local channels and TV and movie programming from leading satellite TV providers worldwide.KVH describes TracVision TV10 as the world’s lightest 1-meter Ku-band marine satellite TV antenna.

UKHO releases new edition of ADMIRALTY Ocean Passages

The UK Hydrographic Office (UKHO) has published a new edition of ADMIRALTY Ocean Passages for the World (NP136). First published in 1895, this publication is designed to support mariners in the planning of deep sea voyages along major trade routes, with details of weather, currents, ice hazards and other environmental features that may be met in transit. The UKHO has completely changed the way that routes are represented in response to user feedback, introducing route diagrams alongside tabulated waypoint and route data to help mariners find key information quickly. J. Ray McDermott Deploys AVEVA's VNET

AVEVA has secured a contract to provide J. Ray McDermott, the international provider of solutions for offshore field development, with a collaboration portal that provides easy access to key engineering data. Built on AVEVA's VANTAGE NET (VNET) architecture, the portal will be used by more than 300 J. Ray McDermott personnel to support its work on projects in the Middle East. For the first time, project engineers will have web-based access to the 3D design models, 2D design deliverables and all the associated engineering documents that are core to the successful execution of the project. Powerful search functionality in the system allows users to quickly navigate linked documents, with key items clearly highlighted.
