Bordelon Marine Announces Leadership Promotions

Lockport, La. based offshore support and subsea services provider Bordelon Marine said it has promoted Mike Belanger to chief operating officer and Chris Martin to general manager.Having served as Bordelon's general manager for 15 years, Belanger brings more than 40 years of industry experience to the COO position. During his tenure as GM, the company transitioned from operating utility vessels to opening a shipyard and building a trio of 260-foot DP2 subsea vessels that have been operated by Bordelon Marine for more than five years. Belanger is a military veteran serving seven years as an active-duty Marine. Freeport LNG Kicks Off Train 2

US-based Freeport LNG has started commercial operations at its second of three planned liquefaction trains.Freeport LNG Train 3 remains on track to meet its previously announced schedule, with initial production of LNG scheduled for Q1 of 2020, said McDermott International, Inc. with its partners, Chiyoda International Corporation and Zachry Group."We continue to advance the Freeport LNG Project with another significant accomplishment, the commercial operation of Train 2," said Mark Coscio, McDermott's Senior Vice President for North, Central and South America."Congratulations to the joint venture project team who has maintained a commitment to safety and quality.

PetroLogistics Contract Goes to McDermott

Texas-based PetroLogistics II, a portfolio company of Quantum Energy Partners, has awarded McDermott International, Inc. a contract to provide front-end engineering design (FEED) services for a new U.S. Gulf Coast propane dehydrogenation (PDH) plant.Under the scope of the contract, McDermott will assist in the development of a PDH plant to be constructed on the U.S. Gulf Coast. The plant has a design basis of 500 KTA."McDermott is pleased to be working with PetroLogistics II in the development of a facility that will support the growth of propylene in the U.S.," said Mark Coscio, McDermott's Senior Vice President for North, Central and South America.

Sempra's Cameron LNG Terminal Ships First Cargo

Sempra Energy said on Friday the $10 billion Cameron liquefied natural gas export terminal in Louisiana had shipped its first cargo, making the plant the fourth big LNG export terminal to enter service in the United States.Mitsui & Co Ltd, one of the partners in the Cameron project, chartered the tanker, Marvel Crane, to pick up the commissioning cargo.It was not immediately clear where the vessel was headed.Sempra said commissioning cargos were a critical step in the start-up process. The plant is expected to get federal authorization to enter commercial operations in mid-2019.Natural gas use is growing fast around the world as countries seek to wean their industrial and power sectors off dirtier coal.There are three liquefaction trains at Cameron.

McDermott Closing CB&I Deal

Offshore engineering firm McDermott International Inc will close its acquisition of Chicago Bridge and Iron Co NV on Thursday, creating an integrated onshore and offshore services group that will expand its presence in the Middle East.McDermott's offshore engineering and construction work will combine with CB&I's onshore skills including liquefied natural gas (LNG) and power plants. SolstadFarstad Wins New Contracts in Australia

SolstadFarstad ASA (SOFF) has been awarded several new contracts for the provision of vessels within Australia. McDermott International Inc. affiliated company, MAPL have awarded the provision of a General Purpose Support Vessel, Far Stream, and pipe-haul PSV’s performing services for work Offshore Western Australia. The contract is due to commence during Q1/Q2 2018 and the combined vessels utilization is approx. 200 days. Cooper Energy has supplemented their earlier award of Far Saracen and Far Senator for their upcoming Bass Strait drilling campaign, by awarding a third anchor handler, Far Statesman, for a period of 100 days firm with commencement during 1Q 2018.

Meek Named IMCA President

Harke Jan Meek, chief commercial officer at Heerema Marine Contractors, has been named the new president and chairman of the board of the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA). Meek succeeds Bruno Faure (TechnipFMC), who has stepped down as president of IMCA after completing his two-year term of office, in accordance with the association’s constitution. Faure remains on the board of the association. Iain Grainger, vice president commercial at McDermott International Inc. becomes the new IMCA vice president.

McDermott Acquires New Pipelay and Construction Vessel

McDermott International, Inc. announced it has acquired the newly built pipelay and construction vessel Amazon to better position the company for ultradeepwater and SURF projects. McDermott plans to upgrade the vessel to address the ultradeepwater market with a state-of-the-art J-lay system outfitted with the latest vessel technology. In the near term, the company plans to make minor capital expenditure investments to bring the vessel up to company standards. As McDermott finalizes its upgrade plans, the company plans to use the vessel on existing construction and pipelay projects.

McDermott bags Middle East pipelay contract

McDermott International, Inc. was awarded an offshore pipelay contract in the Middle East. The pipelay contract includes the engineering, procurement and installation of two oil pipelines offshore. Work on this contract is expected to be completed by the end of the second quarter in 2018. “This contract marks another example where our clients in the Middle East recognize our integrated customer-driven solutions that are consistently delivered with outstanding safety and within cost and schedule,” said Linh Austin, McDermott’s Vice President, Middle East and Caspian. Work on the contract is expected to begin immediately and will be reflected in McDermott’s fourth quarter 2016 backlog.

McDermott Wins Contract in Arabian Gulf

McDermott International Inc. received three separate engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) projects in multiple Arabian Gulf fields. The EPCI contracts were given by a major national oil company;  In addition to this, there has also been an award of an additional scope on an existing contract, also being executed in the Arabian Gulf. Combined, these projects’ total scope includes EPCI for jackets and topsides, subsea pipelines and subsea cables. McDermott Names Flagship Pipelayer in Singapore

McDermott International, Inc. formally named its flagship Derrick Lay Vessel 2000 (DLV 2000) during a ceremony at the Keppel Singmarine Shipyard in Singapore. Brenda Cuthbertson, wife of 38-year McDermott employee and Asia Area Vice President Hugh Cuthbertson, served as the vessel’s godmother and named the DLV 2000 with the traditional breaking of champagne during the ceremony. The ceremony was attended by invited guests, McDermott and Keppel executives and employees and was followed by guided tours and lunch on the vessel.

McDermott, L&T Enter Agreement for India Deepwater Market

McDermott International, Inc. McDermott Completes Pemex Compression Module

McDermott International, Inc. announced today that one of its joint venture companies, Qingdao McDermott Wuchuan Offshore Engineering Co. Ltd. (“QMW”), recently completed a fast-track compression process module fabrication subcontract for Jord Oil & Gas Systems B.V. (“JOGS”). JOGS is the prime contractor for the process modules for the jack-up compression platform which will connect to the PEMEX Akal G-1 platform offshore Mexico. The scope of work, awarded in the first quarter 2014, included construction-engineering, procurement of bulk materials, fabrication, pre-commissioning and transportation of three process modules, related skids and a flare boom.

McDermott Installs Mooring Tower off Indonesia

McDermott International, Inc. has successfully concluded the transportation and installation of a Yoke-type Single Point Mooring tower and hook up to a Floating Storage Offloading (“FSO”) vessel for PT Rekayasa Industri offshore Indonesia in the Banyu Urip field. PT Rekayasa Industri was appointed by Mobil Cepu Limited, an ExxonMobil subsidiary, as one of the engineering, procurement, construction and installation contractors for the field. “PT Rekayasa Industri awarded the contract to McDermott earlier this year,” said Hugh Cuthbertson, Vice President and General Manager, Asia Pacific. The Yoke-type Single Point Mooring Tower is a critical component which enables mooring of the FSO unit at the site.

New Versatile McDermott CSV Christened

McDermott International, Inc. informs of the christening of its new Construction Support Vessel 108 (“CSV 108”) at Metalships & Docks shipyard in Vigo, Spain. The shipyard hosted a naming ceremony attended by Tony Duncan, Executive Vice President, Subsea for McDermott and Manuel Rodríguez, Chairman of Metalships & Docks, SAU, local dignitaries and project staff. “We expect the CSV108 to join the fleet in 2015, once the final deck equipment has been installed,” said Duncan. McDermott Wins Fast-track Build Contract in Indonesia

McDermott International, Inc. announced today that one of its subsidiaries has been awarded a fast-track fabrication contract by PC Ketapang II Ltd., a subsidiary of PETRONAS for the BTJT-A Jacket as part of the Bukit Tua Development Project in the Ketapang block of East Java, Indonesia. The contract is included in McDermott’s second quarter 2014 backlog. McDermott will fabricate the four-leg 1,100-tonne wellhead jacket, from the Batam Island fabrication facility in Indonesia. The project is expected to be complete by mid November 2014.

McDermott Awarded Anadarko GoM Contract

McDermott International, Inc. says that one of its subsidiaries has entered into an agreement with Anadarko Petroleum Corporation to provide construction and decommissioning support services employing Derrick Barge 50 (“DB50”) on the Red Hawk project, located in Garden Banks 876. The DB50 will remove mooring lines for the Red Hawk spar and provide accommodation and decommissioning support services. Mobilization is expected during the third quarter 2014. “This project is yet another example of our efforts to improve asset utilization beyond the requirements of our existing backlog,” said Dominic Savarino, Vice President and General Manager, Americas. The DB50 is a dynamically positioned (DP2) premier heavy-lift vessel with deepwater lowering capabilities that can accommodate 320 personnel.

McDermott Awarded Megalodon Platform Installation

McDermott International, Inc. announced today that one of its subsidiaries was awarded a contract to provide transportation and installation services to Walter Oil & Gas Corporation for the Megalodon platform destined for South Timbalier Block 311 in the Gulf of Mexico. The project is expected to be included in McDermott’s third quarter 2014 backlog. McDermott will provide all materials and equipment to transport and install the six-pile platform in 391 feet of water, over an existing well site.

McDermott Signs Agreement for Gulfport Spoolbase

McDermott International, Inc. (NYSE: MDR) said that one of its subsidiaries has signed a lease agreement with the Mississippi Development Authority and the Mississippi State Port Authority for the exclusive right to operate a spoolbase and marine operations base in the Port of Gulfport. McDermott expects the facility, designed to serve projects from the Gulf of Mexico, will be available in early 2016.
