Keppel in Talks with Petrobras to Build FPSO for Buzios Field

Golar Inks Deal for Third FLNG Conversion

Golar LNG Limited has executed agreements for conversion of the 126,000 m3 LNG carrier Gandria to a Golar floating liquefaction facility (GoFLNG), the company announced today. As with the GoFLNG Hilli and Gimi conversions, the primary contract for the GoFLNG Gandria was entered into with Singapore's Keppel Shipyard Limited. The Gandria conversion contract marks the exercise of the second of two options that formed part of the initial 2014 Hilli conversion contract. Black & Veatch will provide its licensed PRICO technology, perform detailed engineering and process design, specify and procure topside equipment, and provide commissioning support for the GoFLNG topsides and liquefaction process.

Golar Orders Second FLNGV Conversion

Black & Veatch has again been called upon to combine its PRICO LNG technology and global engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) capabilities with the services of Keppel Shipyard Limited. Together, they will convert a 125,000-cubic-meter Golar LNG carrier, the Gimi, into a Floating Liquefaction Vessel (FLNGV). Black & Veatch will provide its PRICO technology as well as perform detailed engineering and process design, specify and procure topside equipment and provide commissioning support for the FLNGV topsides and liquefaction process. This is the company's second agreement of this nature with Keppel Shipyard and Golar LNG. In July 2014, the company announced an EPC contract to convert the Hilli.

Keppel to Acquire Golar Hilli Interest

KSI Production Pte Ltd (KSI), an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of the Keppel Corp. says it has agreed to acquire 50 ordinary shares representing a 10% interest in Golar Hilli Corporation, which owns one Moss LNG carrier. Golar Hilli is the owner of the Moss LNG carrier HILLI which, as announced on 3 July 2014, is scheduled to be converted into a Floating Liquefaction Vessel (FLNGV) by Keppel Shipyard Limited, another wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company. Keppel believes that this acquisition strengthens the alignment of strategic interests between Keppel Shipyard Limited and Golar LNG Limited, and reflects Keppel's confidence in the prospects of Golar Hilli, the world's first FLNGV conversion project.

EMAS to take delivery of FPSOs from Keppel Shipyard

EMAS Production is set to take delivery of one of Vietnam's largest Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessels from Keppel Shipyard Limited (Keppel Shipyard), on behalf of owner PV Keez Pte. Ltd (PV Keez). To be managed and operated by EMAS Production, FPSO Lewek EMAS has been chartered by Premier Oil Vietnam Offshore B.V. for the development of the Chim Sáo field off southern Vietnam for six years, with a further option to extend the charter by another six years. The FPSO charter contract is one of only seven signed worldwide in 2009, and is worth approximately US$1 billion.

Keppel Shipyard Nets Two Contracts Worth S$170 Million

Keppel Secures S$240M in Shipbuilding Contracts

Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), through wholly-owned subsidiaries Keppel Shipyard Limited and Keppel Singmarine Pte Ltd, has clinched new contracts totalling S$240 million. These comprise the upgrading of a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel, the conversion of a livestock carrier, as well as the building of a diving support vessel. With these latest projects, the total value of new contracts secured by Keppel O&M in 2010 has edged up to S$3.2 billion. Keppel Shipyard Contract to Modify FPSO OSX-1

Keppel Shipyard Limited (Keppel Shipyard) has secured a contract for the modification of the Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel OSX-1, worth approximately S$50 million. The FPSO OSX-1 is owned by OSX 1 Leasing B.V., a subsidiary of OSX Brasil S/A. Commencing in the third quarter of 2010, Keppel Shipyard’s scope of work includes procurement, detailed engineering and the modification of the topside process modules. Keppel Shipyard will work with BW Offshore, which will provide project management, engineering services and technical guidance services to OSX 1 Leasing B.V.

Keppel O&M Clinches More Contracts

Keppel Offshore & Marin Ltd (Keppel O&M), through its subsidiaries, Keppel Shipyard Limited (Keppel Shipyard) and Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS), has secured contracts worth $114.8m for a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel conversion, a Derrick Lay Barge completion and the life extension of a semisubmersible rig. Keppel Clinches Petrobras & Saipem Contracts

Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), through Keppel Shipyard Limited (Keppel Shipyard) and Keppel Verolme BV (Keppel Verolme), has secured two contracts worth a total of about $165m. The first project, secured by Keppel Shipyard from repeat customer Petrobras Netherlands B.V (PNBV), is for the pre-conversion of P-58, a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel for the Campos Basin. The second project involves the repair and modification of the semisubmersible pipelay vessel, Castoro Sei for Saipem S.p.A (Saipem) by Keppel Verolme.

Keppel Constructs First FPSO for GOM

Keppel Shipyard Limited (Keppel Shipyard) is on track to deliver the first floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel for the US Gulf of Mexico (GoM) to BW Pioneer Ltd, an affiliate of BW Offshore. Named on Oct. 26 at Keppel Shipyard, the vessel BW Pioneer will be turret moored at a water depth of about 2,600 metres – by far the deepest for an FPSO. The FPSO, which is nearing completion, has achieved an impressive safety record of more than four million incident-free man-hours to-date. BW Pioneer has been leased by Petrobras America Inc.

Keppel Awarded 3 Projects

Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), through Keppel Shipyard Limited (Keppel Shipyard) and Keppel FELS Brasil SA (Keppel FELS Brasil), has secured three contracts worth a total of about S$300m. The first two projects, secured by Keppel Shipyard from repeat customers, are for the construction of a derrick lay barge and the modification of a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel. The third project is awarded by a new customer, Noble Drilling (Nederland) B.V., to Keppel FELS Brasil, through BrasFELS, for the completion of a deep drilling semisubmersible (semi).

Keppel Shipyard Delivers 9th FPSO

Keppel Shipyard Limited has delivered the floating production storage and offloading vessel (FPSO) Espirito Santo to SBM Offshore. The vessel has left Singapore for deployment in the Espirito Santo field in offshore Brazil. The FPSO is capable of processing 100,000 barrels of oil per day (bopd) with a maximum storage capacity of two million barrels of oil. It will be leased to the BC-10 Joint Venture, which is operated by Shell with ONGC Campos Ltda. and Petróleo Brasilieiro S.A. (Petrobras) as co-venturers, whilst the FPSO will be operated by a joint venture between SBM Offshore and MISC.

Keppel Awarded Contract for Bully Drillship

Keppel Shipyard Limited was awarded a contract valued at about $100.7m for the integration and completion of a new build Bully drillship. Keppel secured the contract with a company jointly owned by Frontier Drilling and Shell. This is the second drillship of the Bully rig design awarded to Keppel by the same owners. The first Bully drillship was awarded in June 2007 with delivery by fourth quarter 2009. The new hull will be built in China and is due to arrive at Keppel Shipyard in the first quarter of 2009. The drillship is expected to be delivered by the second quarter of 2010. The Bully drillships are designed to conduct surface BOP (Blow-out Preventer) drilling operations in water depths of up to 12,000 ft. and sub-sea BOP operations in water depths of up to 8,250 ft.

Keppel Strengthens Safety with Leadership Training Initiative

Keppel Shipyard Limited, the shiprepair unit of Keppel Corporation Limited through its wholly owned subsidiary, Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited (Keppel O&M), has launched a Safety Leadership Program. Aimed at ensuring that safety practices are built into everyday work processes, this new program is the latest initiative by the yard to achieve an incident-free work environment. The program reinforces and promotes safe work behavior through effective observation and intervention by supervisors. There are above 10,000 workers daily working at Keppel Shipyard and these workers are managed by the supervisors.

Keppel Signs Landmark LNG Deal

Keppel Shipyard Limited (Keppel Shipyard), a subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), has signed a contract with Golar LNG Limited for the conversion of an existing LNG carrier into a floating Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) storage and re-gasification unit (FSRU). The total contract value is approximately Singapore $90 million. When the conversion is completed in the second quarter of 2007, it will be the first of its type in the world. The conversion will be made based on relevant DNV class rules and international standards. Golar LNG will work in partnership with Keppel Shipyard in the engineering, procurement and construction for the project.

Golar Signs Contract with Keppel Shipyard

Golar LNG Limited is pleased to announce that the company has signed a contract with Keppel Shipyard Limited of Singapore for the first ever conversion of an existing LNG carrier into a LNG Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU). Keppel Shipyard Limited is the leading ship repair yard for Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) carriers outside Japan. Moss Maritime of Norway (a Saipem company) has prepared the conceptual specification for the FSRU and will carry out the design and engineering. When the conversion is completed in the second quarter of 2007, it will be the first of its type in the world. The conversion will be made based on relevant DNV class rules and international standards.

Keppel secures contract for Qatargas LNG carriers

Keppel Shipyard Limited (Keppel Shipyard) has entered an Alliance Service Agreement for the drydocking of a fleet of Moss Rosenburg (MOSS) type of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) carriers chartered by Qatar Liquefied Gas Company Ltd (Qatargas). The five-year agreement was signed with MO LNG Transport Co., Ltd (MOL), Nippon Yusen Kaisha Ltd (NYK) and Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha Ltd (K-Line). The vessels under the fleet agreement are Al Zubarah, Al Khor, Al Rayyan, Al Wajbah, Broog, Zekreet, Al Wakrah, Doha, Al Bidda, and Al Jasra. Keppel Shipyard has been servicing this fleet of LNG carriers from Qatargas since 1999. The scope of work involves drydocking for survey, maintenance and repair.
