Keppel FELS Resells Jackup Rig

Keppel Corporation Limited (the “Company” or “KCL”) refers to its announcement on 2 August 2013 on the construction contract ("Construction Contract") entered between Keppel FELS Limited (“KFELS”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited (“KOM”), and Parden Holding S.R.L. (“Parden”) for the construction of a KFELS B Class jackup rig (the “Jackup Rig”). Following Parden’s failure to take delivery of the Jackup Rig and make payment for the balance 80% of the contract value, among others, KFELS has today, following discussion with the guarantor of Parden’s obligations under the construction contract, entered into a Settlement Agreement with the guarantor.

A Milestone for N-KOM and Intersleek

September 2011 witnessed a milestone for International Paint and N-KOM, the Nakilat-Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited, Erhama Bin Jaber Al Jalahma Shipyard, with the coating of three LNG vessels marking the application of 10,000 liters of Intersleek foul release technology at the new Qatar facility in less than four months since opening. Global Industries to Take Delivery of Global 1201

Keppel Delivers 2nd Pipelay Vessel to Global Industries

Keppel Singmarine Pte Ltd (Keppel Singmarine), the specialised shipbuilding arm of Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited (Keppel O&M), is on track to deliver Global 1201, the second new generation derrick pipelay vessel to Global Industries Ltd (Global Industries) safely, on time and within budget. Keppel Singmarine was awarded a S$50,000 bonus from Global Industries for achieving zero-incidents during the construction of this 531.5-ft-long double-hull vessel. Mr Tong Chong Heong, CEO of Keppel Offshore & Marine, said, "Global 1201 is a great example of excellent teamwork and reflects a strong alignment of goals and priorities between Keppel Singmarine and Global Industries.

Keppel Acquires Stake in Dyna-Mac, Topside Module Fabricator

Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited (Keppel O&M), through its wholly-owned subsidiary KS Investments Pte Ltd (KSI), has acquired a 27.77% stake (250,000,000 shares) in topside module fabricator Dyna-Mac Holdings Ltd (Dyna-Mac) via an equity placement. This follows Dyna-Mac's successful listing on the main board of Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited (SGX) today. KSI's total investment is S$87.5 million based on the invitation price of 35 cents per share. The equity placement, through its investment vehicle KSI, is part of a collaboration between Keppel Shipyard (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel O&M) and Dyna-Mac to jointly pursue the topside module business beyond Singapore's shores.

Keppel to Deliver Derrick Pipelay Vessel

Keppel Singmarine Pte Ltd, the specialized shipbuilding arm of Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited (Keppel O&M), is on schedule to deliver Global 1200, the first of two new generation derrick pipelay vessels to Global Industries. John Reed, CEO of Global Industries, said, "The construction of subsea pipelines is expected to intensify globally in tandem with the increasing number of exploration and production activities in deeper and more remote frontiers. Designed to set new benchmarks of excellence in pipelaying operations, Global 1200 comes with a state-of-the-art pipelay system and has the capability of operating in waters as deep as 3,000 metres.

Keppel AmFELS Delivers Second Rowan Rig

Keppel AmFELS L.L.C., the U.S. wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited (Keppel O&M), is on track to deliver the second of four EXL rigs to Rowan Drilling Companies, Inc. (Rowan) on time, within budget and with zero lost-time incidents. The rig, christened Rowan EXL-II last Friday, is scheduled for delivery on 31 August and will depart the Keppel AmFELS yard within the next month. It is expected to be deployed to Trinidad for three years under contract with BP Trinidad and Tobago. Construction for the Rowan EXL-II began in April 2008. Built as an enhancement of the LeTourneau Super 116E design with leg lengths of 511ft.

Keppel Delivers Five Vessels on Schedule

Keppel Singmarine Pte Ltd (Keppel Singmarine), the shipbuilding arm of Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited (Keppel O&M), has demonstrated its commitment to meet the needs of customers with the timely and safe deliveries of five ships. These five vessels, including a Multi-Purpose Supply and Support Vessel (MPSSV), an Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessel and three tugboats, have all exceeded their contractual bollard pull and speed during the sea trials. Greatship Mohini, a MPSSV was delivered to Greatship Global Offshore Services Pte.

Keppel Delivers First Rowan Rig

Keppel AmFELS Inc., the US wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited (Keppel O&M), has delivered the first of four EXL rigs to Rowan Drilling Company, Inc. (Rowan) safely, on time and within budget. The rig, christened Rowan EXL I at the yard last Saturday, is expected to be deployed for work immediately after delivery to serve a 10-month contract with McMoRan Exploration Company in the US Gulf of Mexico. Keppel AmFELS is currently constructing three other similar newbuild jackup rigs for Rowan.

Keppel Joint Venture, Azerbaijan Shipyard

President of Azerbaijan, HE Ilham Aliyev breaks ground for the new yard in the presence of Singapore’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr George Yeo. Fortifying its presence in the Caspian Region, Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited (Keppel O&M) joins hands with State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and Azerbaijan Investment Company (AIC) to develop and manage a new 52-ha shipbuilding and shiprepair facility in Baku, Azerbaijan. The new SOCAR-Keppel Shipyard will be developed over a period of two to three years with an investment of US$386 million.

Keppel Completes 5 Scorpion Jackups

Keppel AmFELS Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited (Keppel O&M) in the US Gulf of Mexico, has delivered the jackup drilling rig, Offshore Intrepid, to Scorpion Intrepid Ltd. a subsidiary of Scorpion Offshore Ltd. (Scorpion) on time. With this delivery, Keppel AmFELS has completed the series of five LeTourneau Super 116 jackup rigs commissioned by Scorpion in 2005 without delay. Offshore Intrepid was named by Mrs. Drucie Cole, spouse of Mr. Jon Cole, Scorpion’s President & CEO, at the Keppel AmFELS yard on 24 January 2009.

Keppel, Seadrill Continue Rig Builds

The wholly owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited (Keppel O&M), Keppel FELS Limited, and Seadrill Jack-Ups Ltd have agreed to continue with the building of the two jackups on revised terms that are mutually beneficial. The contract value of the two jackups is $420m. Keppel FELS Limited and Scorpion Offshore have agreed to terminate the $405m rig contract on mutually acceptable terms. Scorpion Offshore is working closely with Keppel FELS in the latter’s exploratory discussions with interested third parties to take over the building of the semisubmersible. The outcome of these discussions are highly uncertain. Keppel Singmarine and Lewek Shipping are currently working towards an amicable mutual termination of their contract and this is expected to be finalised shortly.

Keppel Secures $139m Contracts

Keppel Singmarine delivered the first vessel, Seaways 12, to Seaways in November last year, safely and ahead of schedule.

Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited (Keppel O&M) through its wholly owned subsidiaries has clinched contracts worth $139m. The new orders include the upgrading and conversion of a Floating, Storage and Offloading (FSO) vessel into a Floating Production, Storage and Offloading facility (FPSO Okha) by Keppel Shipyard for Single Buoy Moorings, the building of two RAmpage 5500 Z-M offshore support tugs by Keppel Singmarine for Seaways International Pte Ltd and the construction of three tugboats at Keppel Cebu Shipyard in the Philippines.

Keppel, Seadrill, Scorpion, Lewek in Talks

Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited (Keppel O&M) has received indications from Seadrill Limited, Scorpion Offshore Ltd, and Lewek Shipping Pte Ltd that they are reviewing their options on their newbuilding contracts that were signed in the middle of this year. The contracts under review are for a semisubmersible for Scorpion Offshore, two jackup rigs for Seadrill and a Multi-Functional Support Vessel for Lewek Shipping. Keppel O&M is in talks with them to arrive at mutually acceptable arrangements for these contracts. Construction work has not started on these projects, for which Keppel O&M has received downpayments. If these contracts are cancelled…

Keppel O&M Training Center Opens

The newly opened Keppel Offshore & Marine Group Training Centre is poised to be a centre of excellence for technical and specialised skills training. (), the technical and specialized skill training center of Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited (Keppel O&M), has enhanced its capacity to 3,500 training places per annum with its new facilities in . The Center will be a one-stop training facility where employees and subcontractors can register for courses, undergo training, receive certification and apply for relevant trade licences. Keppel O&M’s annual investment in training was S$17 million for 2006 and 2007 each. This is expected to rise to S$23 million in 2008…

Keppel Wins Seadrill Contract Worth $160m

Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS) has secured a $160m contract to build a repeat semisubmersible drilling tender (SSDT) for Seadrill Asia Limited (Seadrill Asia).   Scheduled for delivery in first quarter of 2011, the drilling tender will be built to the KFELS SSDT 3600E model. The KFELS SSDT series is designed by Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited’s (Keppel O&M) R&D arm, the Deepwater Technology Group.  When completed, the latest unit will join Seadrill Asia’s fleet of six other KFELS SSDT rigs, built by the Keppel O&M group. Keppel FELS is presently constructing the sixth drilling tender of this fleet, West Berani II, for delivery at end 2009.

Keppel FELS Delivers SeaDrill Rig

Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited (Keppel O&M), has completed its fourth KFELS B class jackup rig for SeaDrill Limited (SeaDrill) within budget and three days ahead of schedule. This is Keppel O&M’s sixth jackup rig delivery this year, with five from Keppel FELS and one from Keppel AmFELS. In keeping with the naming tradition for all of SeaDrill’s other drilling units, this rig has been christened with the name of a celestial body, West Ariel. This KFELS B Class rig will have the capability of operating in water depths of up to 400 feet, has a drilling depth of 30,000 feet and can accommodate 112 men.

Keppel FELS Delivers its Rig to Diamond Offshore

Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited (Keppel O&M) has delivered its KFELS Super B Class jackup drilling rig to Diamond Offshore Drilling, Inc (Diamond Offshore). The Ocean Shield marks the 20th KFELS B Class drilling rig constructed by Keppel FELS since the launch of this design in 2000. It will also be the first of two KFELS B Class designed rigs commissioned by Diamond Offshore in 2005. The second is being built by Keppel FELS sister company, Keppel AmFELS in . The KFELS Super B Class rigs are an enhanced version of the KFELS B Class and are equipped with cantilever skid-off capabilities and high capacity hook loads of two million pounds for operation in extreme high-temperature and high-pressure wells.

Keppel FELS Delivers B Class Rig

Built to Keppel's proprietary KFELS B Class design, WilBoss was delivered 10 days ahead of schedule. Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited (Keppel O&M), received US$40,000 from Awilco Offshore ASA (Awilco) for the early delivery of jackup drilling rig. Built to Keppel’s proprietary KFELS B Class design, the rig was delivered 10 days ahead of contractual schedule to Awilco without any lost time incidents during its construction. The rig is the second of three rigs Keppel FELS is building for Awilco.

Keppel FELS Completes Singaporean Project

Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited (Keppel O&M), has completed the construction of its second jackup drilling rig for Gulf Drilling International Ltd (GDI), a joint venture between Qatar Petroleum (QP) and Japan Drilling Co., Ltd. (JDC). At a ceremony on 26 January 2008, the rig was named Al-Zubarah, after one of Qatar’s very important economic centres, by Mr Mohammad Al-Shirrawi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of GDI. Built to Keppel’s proprietary KFELS B Class design, the rig has been customised to GDI’s requirements for drilling in the Arabian Gulf. Al-Zubarah is capable of operating in water depths of up to 300 feet, drilling 30,000 feet deep and accommodating up to 110 men.
