Hareide Named Norway's Director General of Navigation and Shipping

Hoegh LNG Partners Appoints New CFO

The floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) company  Höegh LNG Holdings announced that Håvard Furu is appointed as new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Höegh LNG AS effective 1 March 2019.The interim CFO, Steffen Føreid, will step down effective 1 March 2019 and will from then continue in his role as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Höegh LNG Partners LP.Håvard Furu comes from the position as CFO of law firm Wikborg Rein. GC Rieber Shipping Taps Ytredal as CEO

Norwegian offshore shipping company GC Rieber Shipping announced acting chief executive officer Einar Ytredal has appointed to the CEO role on a permanent basis. At the same time, Øystein Kvåle was named new chief financial officer (CFO) and Christoffer Knudsen was promoted to chief commercial officer (CCO).Ytredal was appointed acting CEO in mid-September 2018. CEO Haugan Leaves Kvaerner to Lead Aker Energy

Jan Arve Haugan resigns as President & CEO of Kvaerner, and from March 1, 2018, he will start his new role as CEO of the newly established oil company Aker Energy. Idar Eikrem, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in Kvaerner, is appointed interim CEO. Prosafe Appoints Interim Chairman of the Board

Prosafe, owner and operator of semi-submersible accommodation vessels, informs that its Chairman, Harald Espedal, has notified the company that he will step down from his position as Chairman and Director of the Board “for work load reasons”. Prosafe’s board has accepted the resignation and appointed Glen O. Rødland as interim Chairman of the Board. Polarcus Announces Further Job Cuts

Marine geophysical company Polarcus announced it will implement further measures to cut costs, including additional headcount reductions and changes to the executive management team. The expanded cost reductions are part of a longer term plan that aims to help Polarcus withstand a prolonged difficult market as well as to take advantage of opportunities in this volatile environment, the company explained. As part of the cost management program implemented at the end of 2014, personnel reductions now total 26 percent.

Veiseth appointed CFO of EMG

Veiseth (38) as acting CFO of the company effective from 1 January 2016, following the resignation of Svein Knudsen.   Hege has worked for EMGS since 2007 and is currently the Group Finance Manager of the company. Kildahl Named to Höegh LNG Board

Höegh LNG Holdings Ltd. has appointed Mr. Jørgen Kildahl to the Board of Directors of the Company with effect from 15 September 2015. The Board now consists of eight members. Kildahl has since 2010 been a Member of the Board of Management (Vorstand) in E.ON SE. He served as an Executive Vice President in Statkraft AS from 1999 to 2010, where he was also part of the Executive Management Board from 2001. Mr. Kildahl has also held positions in a PR consultant group, as fund manager and served at several boards. Knutsen is Head of Yara Downstream

Yara International ASA has appointed Terje Knutsen as Head of Downstream. He succeeds Egil Hogna, who has submitted his resignation. Knutsen will assume his new position on 1 May 2015. Yara's Downstream business unit manages the company's global sales, marketing and distribution of fertilizers. Terje Knutsen currently heads Yara's business unit for Downstream activities in North & East Europe. Prior to this, he was Head of Business Unit Asia. Aged 52, Knutsen holds a Master's degree in economics and business administration from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH). Since joining the company in 1987, he has had an extensive international career, working twelve years outside Norway. Knutsen will be part of Yara's executive management team and report to the President and CEO.

Kvidal Named Yara Int'l Acting CEO

Torgeir Kvidal is appointed Acting CEO effective 7 October 2014, and Jørgen Ole Haslestad has resigned as Yara CEO. "Yara's Board have concluded that Haslestad is not the right person to lead the company going forward, also in light of the on-going talks with CF Industries. Haslestad would not have a role in a potential merged company," says Leif Teksum, Chairman of the Yara Board of Directors. "I would like to take this opportunity to thank Jørgen for his contribution to Yara, first as a Board member and since 2008 as CEO. Lind, Mäkinen Appointed at Wärtsilä

Raimo Lind, MSc (Econ.), Group Vice President, CFO, and Mikael Mäkinen, MSc (Eng.), Naval Architect, Group Vice President, Ship Power, have been appointed Executive Vice Presidents of Wärtsilä Corporation with effect from 1 January 2005. Mr Lind will also act as deputy to President and CEO Ole Johansson. Wärtsilä's current Executive Vice President, Sven Bertlin, retires on 31 December 2004. Raimo Lind, born 1953, holds a Master's degree in Economics and Business Administration. He has been Group Vice President, CFO, of Wärtsilä and a member of the Board of Management since 1998. He was employed by the company between 1976 and 1989, and then rejoined in 1998. He has broad-ranging experience of financial management and international business management.
