Lowrance Renews Insight Genesis College Cup

Lowrance®, a world-leading brand in fishing electronics since 1957— announced today the renewal of its Insight Genesis™ College Cup. In its second year, the 2015 College Cup kicks off January 1st and continuesthrough December 31, 2015.Anglers registered with Bassmaster Collegiate Series or FLW College Fishing are eligible for the competition.

Contestantscan win monthly prizes – including HDS-12, HDS-9 and HDS-7 Gen2 Touch fishfinder/chartplotter models --- simply bycapturing and uploadingthe most acres of sonar recordings to the online Insight Genesis map-creation tool. TheLowrance fishfinder/chartplotter prizes will be awarded to first-, second-, and third-place individual monthly winners, respectively. Thisyear’s overall individual winner will be named Lowrance Prostaff at the 2016 Bassmaster Classic or FLW Cup and receive a free trip to the championship of hischoice.

All recordings must be completed with a Lowrance fishfinder/chartplotter. If participants do not have a fishfinder/chartplotter capable of recording sonar logs, Lowrance offers a loaner unit program in which college teams can receive up to three FREE Lowrance Elite-7 CHIRPchartplotters on loan for the 2015 Insight Genesis College Cup program year. Registered Insight Genesis College Cup anglers will also receive FREE Premium access to Insight Genesisafter uploading 100 acres to the program and be able to see vegetation and bottom hardness layers, as well as gain access to other great premium features.As in last year’s Cup, competitors who sign up early in December 2014, can get a head start accumulating acreage totals for the 2015 competition, before the Insight Genesis College Cup official starts January 1st.

Registration for the 2015 Insight Genesis College Cupis free and open from December 18, 2014 through December 31, 2015. To enter, contestants can visit www.collegecup.usand submit their name, email and school name. Anglers should register with their name and email on file with BASS and/or FLW college fishing registration. Anglers will need to sign up for the 2015 College Cup even if they had registered previously for 2014 College Cup. Winners are announced on Facebook in the week following the end of the monthly or annual contest period and winners will be notified by email.
