Wärtsilä to Supply Cargo Handling Systems for Solvang’s Newbuild VLGC Vessels

Wärtsilä Gas Solutions, part of technology group Wärtsilä, will supply the cargo handling systems for additional two new very large LPG carrier vessels to be built at the HD Hyundai Heavy Industries in South Korea.The ships have been contracted by Norwegian ship owner Solvang. The order follows a similar one placed in 2023 for five vessels being built at the same yard for the same owner.The very large gas carriers (VLGCs) are of Panamax size and form the next generation of eco-vessels.

MacGregor Cargo Handling Equipment Ordered for Matson Containerships

MacGregor announced on Friday it has landed a contract from SM Solutions/Philly Shipyard to supply cargo handling solutions for three 1,822 FEU sized containerships.MacGregor’s scope of supply encompasses design, hardware and supply for hatch covers, lashing bridges, deck stanchions, fixed and removable cell guides in hold and container fixed fittings. Kalmar Delivers MCT 200th Straddle Carrier

Kalmar, a provider of cargo-handling solutions and services to ports and terminals, and Italy's Medcenter Container Terminal (MCT), are celebrating the delivery of the terminal's 200th straddle carrier.Both companies participated in a joint event on 15 January in recognition of their long-standing partnership.Located in the southern Italian port of Gioia Tauro, MCT is a megaport able to handle the largest vessels deployed on Asia-Mediterranean routes. Kalmar Signs Pact with Patrick Terminals

Kalmar Hybrid RTGs for Argentina

Asyaport Selects Kalmar Zero Emission RTG

Kalmar, the provider of cargo-handling solutions and services to ports, said that it has been awarded a contract to supply Asyaport Liman A.S. (Asyaport) with a total of six Kalmar Zero Emission rubber-tired gantry (RTG) cranes.According to the Cargotec group company, the order, which also includes Kalmar SmartPort solutions that are part of the recently launched Kalmar One automation system, was booked in Cargotec's 2019 Q4 order intake, with delivery scheduled for Q4 of 2020.Asyaport is a joint venture between the Turkish Soyuer family and Global Terminal Limited, which secure berths and terminal capacity in the major ports used by Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC).Asyaport is Turkey’s first transshipment container terminal and has an annual capacity of up to 2.5 million TEU.

Kalmar Bags Lineas Intermodal Order

Kalmar in Service Contract with OPCSA

Kalmar, the provider of the cargo handling solutions and services to ports, has concluded an agreement to supply comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance services to Operaciones Portuarias Canarias S.A. Indonesia Gets 1st Kalmar Eco Reachstacker

Kalmar, the provider of cargo-handling solutions and services to ports, has signed a contract with Cikarang Dry Port, for the delivery of the first Kalmar Eco Reachstacker in Indonesia. Kalmar is part of Cargotec group.The order was booked into Cargotec’s 2019 second quarter order intake and scheduled for delivery in July of 2019.Cikarang Dry Port is a public inland port located in the eastern corridor of greater Jakarta. Dublin Get Kalmar AutoRTG Cranes

The cargo handling solutions and services provider, Kalmar has concluded an agreement with Dublin Ferryport Terminals (DFT) to extend the Kalmar AutoRTG system at the terminal with two new AutoRTG cranes.The order was booked in Cargotec's 2019 Q2 order intake, with delivery of the machines scheduled to be completed during Q2 of 2020, Kalmar, part of Cargotec, said. Kalmar Intros Electric Empty Container Handler

The cargo handling solutions provider Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has introduced a fully electric version of the Kalmar Empty Container Handler.According to a company press release, the launch represents another significant step on the company's journey towards offering an electric version of every product in its portfolio by 2021.
