Wärtsilä Gas Solutions, part of technology group Wärtsilä, will supply the cargo handling systems for additional two new very large LPG carrier vessels to be built at the HD Hyundai Heavy Industries in South Korea.The ships have been contracted by Norwegian ship owner Solvang. The order follows a similar one placed in 2023 for five vessels being built at the same yard for the same owner.The very large gas carriers (VLGCs) are of Panamax size and form the next generation of eco-vessels.

MacGregor announced on Friday it has landed a contract from SM Solutions/Philly Shipyard to supply cargo handling solutions for three 1,822 FEU sized containerships.MacGregor’s scope of supply encompasses design, hardware and supply for hatch covers, lashing bridges, deck stanchions, fixed and removable cell guides in hold and container fixed fittings. Kalmar, the provider of cargo-handling solutions and services to ports, has signed a contract with Cikarang Dry Port, for the delivery of the first Kalmar Eco Reachstacker in Indonesia. Kalmar is part of Cargotec group.The order was booked into Cargotec’s 2019 second quarter order intake and scheduled for delivery in July of 2019.Cikarang Dry Port is a public inland port located in the eastern corridor of greater Jakarta. It serves direct export import for the surrounding industries under multimodal transport bill of lading provided by shipping lines partners. The cargo handling solutions and services provider, Kalmar has concluded an agreement with Dublin Ferryport Terminals (DFT) to extend the Kalmar AutoRTG system at the terminal with two new AutoRTG cranes.The order was booked in Cargotec's 2019 Q2 order intake, with delivery of the machines scheduled to be completed during Q2 of 2020, Kalmar, part of Cargotec, said. Part of the container and terminal division of Irish Continental Group, DFT operates the most modern container terminal at Dublin Port, with an annual throughput of approximately 380,000 TEU. The cargo handling solutions provider Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has introduced a fully electric version of the Kalmar Empty Container Handler.According to a company press release, the launch represents another significant step on the company's journey towards offering an electric version of every product in its portfolio by 2021. The all-electric machine is the latest addition to Kalmar's Eco Range, which already includes the Kalmar Eco Reachstacker with a fuel-saving guarantee.
