Yet another company has set sails under the Roxtec flag. Roxtec Services AB offers inspections, maintenance work and installation trainings within the crucial area of cable and pipe transits.

“We inspect and maintain sealing solutions on marine vessels and offshore units to make sure they keep up performance and meet the safety requirements from the classification societies,” said Roger Johansson, Executive Vice President Business Area Marine & Offshore at Roxtec.

High safety standards require correctly installed, properly maintained and easily inspected sealing solutions. As sealing experts dedicated to safety and reliability, Roxtec said it knows how important cable and pipe transits are when it comes to protecting life and assets.

“Far too often, frequent upgrades with new equipment, cables and pipes can result in reinstallations of poor quality. The tough environment at sea may also cause corrosion issues. Suddenly the rig or vessel is not protected against fire, gas and water according to regulations anymore,” Johansson said.

Therefore, the cable and pipe seal provider established the company specializing in inspections and maintenance.

If the inspection report recommends corrective actions, the Roxtec Services maintenance team is ready to assist the operator with urgent actions onsite as well as with long-term services.

“Our inspectors also share their knowledge by training installation teams, supervisors and inspectors,” Johansson said. “Many classification societies already call for frequent transit inspections onboard rigs and ships, and we see a huge potential for our new company.”

Roxtec Services is currently mainly operating in the North Sea area. Continuous roll-out in the rest of the world is planned and will follow.
