FRC International is running the first WBV Manager course in the U.S. on June 18 at HiPer Craft 2013 in Norfolk, Va.

The course fee per person is $400 and places can now be booked. WBV Manager attendees also receive free admission to all three days of HiPer Craft 2013.

The WBV (Whole Body Vibration) awareness course is part of the professional program organized by ASNE (American Society of Naval Engineers) at the Half Moone Cruise and Celebration Center in Norfolk, Va.

WBV Manager is a one day workshop that covers the latest international technology and methods for improving high speed craft operations. It is recognized for six PDH (Professional Development Hours) by ASNE and course attendees will receive The Nautical Institute certificate. All organizations operating RHIBs and planing craft are invited to attend.

John Haynes, Operations Director of FRC International said, “Whole Body Variation on RHIBs and planing craft is a global problem that affects both crews and passengers. The military, Special Forces and SAR community are already engaged. Government agencies, police, wind farm, oil and gas and all organizations operating planing craft now need to take action. FRC WBV awareness courses have been developed for all sectors affected by this major issue.”

The WBV Manager course is also relevant to naval architects, designers, boat builders and equipment manufacturers. All the latest military and professional tender specifications for RHIBs and high speed craft reference human factors and require boat builders to reduce the effects of WBV and RS (Repetitive Shock) on occupants. Besides delivering the latest knowledge this is a great opportunity for industry professionals to get together and discuss what really works.

Launched January 2012, the course brings together international best practice and defines industry standards. More than 500 personnel from 75 organizations have already attended.

The course runs from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. To book a place on the WBV Manager course contact Julie Arthur [email protected] or call +44 1202 443798.
