New LMS 3D Simulation Offers Real-world Tech
LMS, recently acquired by Siemens and now a business segment within Siemens PLM Software, announced the latest release of its LMS 3D solutions for real world simulation, LMS Virtual. Lab Rev 12 and SAMCEF Rev 15. Both software releases use innovative technology to simulate real-world behavior for faster, more realistic and easier product design. Every LMS 3D simulation solution can be tailored to precise industry and application requirements in areas such as acoustics and vibration, mechanisms, automotive and aerospace simulation process integration, structural analysis and wind turbine development. The latest releases of the two core LMS 3D simulation software suites, LMS Virtual.Lab and SAMCEF including CAESAM, address several of the industries’ most pressing engineering challenges.
Integraph Introduces Smart 3D Upgrades
Intergraph® has released upgrades for its plant, offshore and material handling design solutions, SmartPlant® 3D, SmartMarine® 3D and SmartPlant 3D Materials Handling Edition, collectively known as Smart 3D. All three Smart 3D 2011 R1 solutions are available to customers in the process, power, offshore and marine industries. Smart 3D extended its 3D modeling capabilities to address the needs of the offshore design and fabrication industry. The information management solutions suite will provide GDF SUEZ with a long-term fully integrated system for engineering and operations. GDF SUEZ E&P UK, a growing competitor in the United Kingdom North Sea oil and gas production sector, has recently adopted the full Intergraph® SmartPlant® Enterprise engineering suite, including SmartMarine® 3D. The information management, plant operations, electrical, instrumentation, and 3D design solutions will be used in operations on the Cygnus gas field, a major GDF SUEZ E&P development project, which sanction is targeted mid-2012.
