Global Tiger Success for Thordon Bearings

Canadian company Thordon Bearings has notched up another success story for a customer in the demanding offshore sector, with a bearing and seal installation in “perfect condition” after over three years of operation.Global Tiger, operated by UAE-based Global Marine Co is a 42m (138ft) crew/supply vessel currently in service in the Middle East. It is one of a pair of all-aluminium crewboats built by Grandweld of Dubai in 2015/2016. The vessel, with 83-person capacity, is powered by a triple-screw Caterpillar propulsion plant…

Mid-winter Air drop for Australian Antarctic Division

A Royal Australian Air Force C-17A Globemaster III strategic transport aircraft from Number 36 Squadron has successfully performed an air drop mission over Antarctica in support of the Australian Antarctic Division (AAD) building on the summer drop previously conducted in February 2016. The most recent air drop provides the Royal Australian Air Force with an all-season resupply capability and the ability to provide support to the current expeditioners on the continent. The air drop consisted of pallets containing supplies for vehicles and plant equipment, medical supplies and personal mail. The C-17A aircraft was pre-positioned at Avalon airfield to allow the crew to confirm suitable weather over Casey drop zone, approximately 70 kilometres from Wilkins Aerodrome.

ST Engineering 2Q 2014 Unaudited Results

Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd (ST Engineering) announced today that the Group posted quarterly revenue of $1.59b for the second quarter ended 30 June 2014 (2Q2014), which is comparable with the prior year’s revenue in the same period. The Land Systems sector saw lower revenue due to fewer deliveries in its Automotive business group in the second quarter. The other three sectors - Aerospace, Electronics and Marine registered growth of between 6% and 12% year-on-year. In 2Q2014, all sectors except for the Electronics sector, recorded lower profit before tax (PBT) resulting in a 12% drop in Group PBT to $163.7m from $186.9m in the same period last year.

Special Edition Wakeboarding Tow Craft 'RECON' Unveiled

Axis Wake Research honors US armed forces with Special RECON Edition boat, proceeds to benefit injured war veterans. This special edition was inspired by team rider Keith Lyman, who decided to leave professional wakeboarding to serve in the Army last year.
