Lamprell Delivers Jackup Rig to NDC

Lamprell announced the completion of construction on the jackup drilling rig, “Al Gharbia”, and its delivery to Abu Dhabi’s National Drilling Company (‘NDC’). Completion and delivery of the jackup rig, on time and on budget, was marked at an inauguration ceremony held at Lamprell’s Hamriyah facility in the UAE on 22 December. The rig will depart the facility in late December en route to its drilling location in Abu Dhabi. The contract for the NDC “Al Gharbia” rig was signed in November 2014 and this is the seventh rig in a series of nine rigs being built and delivered by Lamprell to NDC. All nine rigs have been designed according to the Cameron LeTourneau Super 116E (Enhanced) Class design. The remaining two rigs are proceeding on schedule and will be delivered as planned in 2017. Technip PMC Wins ADMA-OPCO Contract

Technip was awarded by Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA-OPCO) a contract for project management consultancy (PMC) services for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) works of the Nasr Phase II Full Field Development project – Packages 1, 2 & 3. The Nasr Phase II Full Field Development project serves ADMA-OPCO’s overall strategic objective for the midterm total sustainable production target. The Nasr field is being developed to secure an annual average production of 65Kb/d of crude oil by using offshore process facilities, wellheads, pipelines and facilities on Das Island. The scope of work covers the overall management of the EPC phases under execution in United Arab Emirates, Singapore and South Korea.

Hyundai Heavy Industries Wins $1.94 Bln Order in UAE

Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. (HHI), the world’s biggest shipbuilder and a leading offshore facilities contractor, announced today that it received a Letter of Award (LOA) for a USD 1.94 billion order for the second package of the Nasr Full Field Development Project to build the fixed platforms and to lay subsea cables from Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA-OPCO) on July 7, 2014. As per the LOA, HHI will undertake engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning work for the super complex comprising a gas treatment platform, a separation platform, an accommodation platform; laying 144 km subsea power and 55 km infield cables; and modifying an existing manifold tower and two wellhead towers in Nasr oil field, 130 km northwest of Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Rolls-Royce to Supply Engines for Huge UAE Offshore Project

Rolls-Royce has been awarded a strategic contract to supply Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA-OPCO) with power generation equipment and related services to help boost oil and gas processing at the Satah Al- Razboot (SARB) offshore project in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The contract was awarded by the Korean engineering, procurement and construction firm Hyundai Engineering and Construction (HDEC) and is the first Trent 60 gas turbine sale to a Korean EPC. The SARB project, say Rolls-Royce, will play a key role in boosting domestic oil and gas production in the UAE.
