Singapore Alliance Building Electric Tug and Supply Boat

The Coastal Sustainability Alliance (CSA), an industry collaborative effort led by Kuok Maritime Group (KMG), has announced the start of construction of its first fully electric PXO-series tug (e-tug) and supply boat (e-supply boat) by PaxOcean Group.The zero-emissions vessels are among the first and largest local electric harbour craft designed for operation in Singaporeā€™s coastal waters. Carnival Corporation Progresses its Sustainability Goals

Carnival Corporation has released its 14th annual sustainability report detailing how it achieved several 2030 environmental goals well in advance.The company is producing 10+% less absolute GHG emissions today than in 2011, its peak historical year, despite increasing capacity by roughly 30% since that time. Tracking toward its 2030 goal four years ahead of schedule, the company formally committed to reducing its GHG intensity by at least 20% by 2026 (versus 2019 levels; measured on a lower berth capacity basis).

Ørsted Signs Long-Term Lease for Cadelerā€™s Newbuild A-Class Vessel

Ørsted and Cadeler have signed a firm long-term lease agreement for a newbuilt wind farm installation vessel, designed to transport up to six XXL monopile foundations and five turbines of over 20 MW per round trip.With the agreement, Ørsted has secured installation vessel capacity from the start of 2027 to end of 2030 for upcoming construction projects.The agreement involves booking a new-built A-Class vessel from Cadeler. Siemens Gamesa Selects Contractor for First SOV Newbuild in Asia

Cyan Renewables, a portfolio company of Seraya Partners, will build Siemens Gamesaā€™s first service operations vessel (SOV) in Asia to facilitate the servicing of wind turbines for the Hai Long offshore wind projects in Taiwan.Siemens Gamesa awarded a 15-year charter contract to Cyan Renewables. The Panama Canal announced that Deputy Administrator Ilya Espino de Marotta will now also serve as the Canalā€™s first Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO).As CSO, Espino de Marotta will spearhead the development of a comprehensive sustainability strategy focused on decarbonization, adaptation, and transition. Shipping CEOs Call for End to Fossil-Only Newbuilds
