ALMACO to Deliver Project Resolve Superstructure

Canadian shipbuilder and industrial fabricator Davie Shipbuilding has awarded ALMACO Group the contract for the delivery of the superstructure of Project Resolve, a Navy AOR vessel, the first project carried out as part of ALMACO and Davie’s cooperation and technology transfer. Ferguson Group Expands Malaysian Operations

The Ferguson Group Singapore, global provider of offshore DNV 2.7-1/EN12079 containers, tanks, baskets, reefers, workspace modules and accommodation solutions, is investing further in its Southeast Asia fleet. Headquartered in Loyang Offshore Supply Base, Ferguson Group Singapore continues its expansion in the region, with an increase in its Malaysian based fleet. The Malaysian fleet is based in two yards, Labuan Supply Base (ASB) and West Malaysia’s Kemaman Supply Base (KSB).

Ferguson Norge Unveils New NORSOK Workshops

As a result of market demand for NORSOK workspace modules, Ferguson Norge, specialists in the rental of DNV 2.7-1 / EN 12079 certified offshore containers, refrigeration/freezer modules, workspace modules and accommodation solutions to the global offshore energy industry, said it has expanded its NORSOK accredited range to include a enhanced series of Z-015 workshops. The range has been developed in response to customer requests for NORSOK products. The workshops have been modified to qualify for NORSOK accreditation and Ferguson Norge has already been taking orders for them.

Ferguson Norge Boosts Product Range

Ferguson Norge AS, part of the Ferguson Group, specialists in the rental of offshore containers, refrigeration/chiller modules, engineering modules and accommodation solutions to the offshore energy sector, has increased its fleet in Norway ahead of this year’s Offshore Technology Days (OTD) exhibition. Ferguson Norge has invested in a number of new offshore containers and workspace units, which will be available from its bases in Stavanger, Bergen and Kristiansund. The units are accredited to DNV 2.7-1 and also NORSOK R-002, to ensure that specific standards in the Norwegian market are met.

Ferguson Reports Profits Increase for 2012

The Ferguson Group, global specialists in the provision of offshore DNV 2.7-1/EN12079 containers and accommodation solutions, has posted its 2012 results, which show continuing growth, with worldwide sales increasing by over 10% to £57.6m and pre tax profits up to £16.2m from £15.6m in 2011. Commenting on the results, Richard Smith, Group Finance Director, said: “2012 was another successful year for the Ferguson Group, which saw the company increase profits during a year of continuing investment in our global infrastructure and asset base.

$5M Support Vessel Refit Contract

Ferguson Modular, a supplier and manufacturer of offshore accommodation solutions for the energy industry around the world, has awarded a $5m contract for refit and refurbishment work on its new accommodation support vessel. The company, a division of the Ferguson Group, is investing $39.2m in its accommodation support vessel which arrived from South East Asia into Port Glasgow in December 2009, and anticipates the work by Ferguson Shipbuilders Ltd at Port Glasgow being completed by June 2010.
