New Engines and Joystick from Yanmar

Yanmar presents boaters and industry professionals new engines and advanced technical features at BOOT Düsseldorf in Germany, one of the world’s largest watersports exhibition, from January 18-26, 2014. Yanmar's technical frontrunner is the completely new developed common rail JH-CR four-cylinder diesel engine that comes in production in the summer of 2014. The new compact midrange is available in 45,57,80 en 110hp, fitting perfectly with a range of boats: larger sailing yachts, motor cruisers, fast RIBs and tender boats. Direct fuel injection results in less diesel consumption. Noise reduction is another focus where Yanmar engineers have been successful. Although the engine is very compact, it is easy accessible for service.

Electronics Leader Unveils Cost-Effective,Reliable and Easy-To-Use Heading Control System. Simrad Yachting announced today its new top-of-the line autopilot systems, the AP70 and AP80. International Maritime Organization (IMO) compliant and adaptive to wind and wave conditions, the systems provide complete heading and course control for a wide range of vessels. Both the AP70 and AP80 feature six independent work-profile settings to quickly enable the autopilot to operate with slow speed, maneuvering, net hauling and helicopter pick up to name a few. Redesigned with a new color interface and intuitive graphics, the autopilots are simple to install and easy to operate.
