ADNOC L&S Adds Two More VLCCs to Its Fleet

Abu Dhabi-based ADNOC Logistics & Services, the shipping and maritime logistics branch of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), has ordered two additional Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCC), bringing the total number of VLCCs added to its fleet in 2021 to eight.ADNOC L&S said Tuesday that the VLCC fleet expansion played a significant role in supporting ICE Murban Futures, which is expected to boost trading of the UAE’s flagship Murban crude oil, enabling it to reach new customers and markets around the globe.

G42, ADNOC JV for AI in Oil and Gas

With a goal of creating more artificial intelligence (AI) led solutions for the oil and gas sector, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC)  has signed a deal with compatriot technology company Group 42 (G42) to create a new joint venture.The JV will be tasked with developing and commercializing market-leading AI products for the energy sector.The agreement was signed at the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) by Omar Suwaina Al Suwaidi, Director, Executive Office Directorate, ADNOC, and Peng Xiao, CEO of G42. ADNOC Launches Bid for Five Blocks

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) said that it has launched the second exploration bid round for five new oil and gas blocks.The bidding will be for both conventional and unconventional resources, and the successful bidders will enter into agreements granting them exploration rights, ADNOC said in a statement.The new blocks are three offshore and two onshore.The five new blocks open for are known as Offshore Block 3, Offshore Block 4, Offshore Block 5, Onshore Block 5 and Onshore Block 2, with the latter offering two separate licensing opportunities for conventional and unconventional oil and gas, respectively. Adnoc Signs USD4bln Pipeline Deal

Abu Dhabi State-Owned Oil Company Adnoc has sealed a $4 billion midstream pipeline infrastructure deal with BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager, and private equity firm KKR & Co.The Middle East national oil company said that the transaction includes the creation of Adnoc Oil Pipelines, which will lease Adnoc's interest in 18 pipelines and give rights to transport crude and condensates from Adnoc's onshore and offshore concessions over 23 years.BlackRock and KKR will form a consortium to hold a 40% stake in Adnoc Oil Pipelines, while Adnoc Infrastructure, a fully-owned Adnoc subsidiary, will retain the remaining 60%. Adnoc estimated its proceeds at about $4 billion. Sovereignty over the pipelines and management of pipeline operations remain with Adnoc.

ADNOC Awards USD1.36bln Contract

State-owned Abu Dhabi National Oil Company has awarded a contract worth Dh5 billion (USD1.36bln) to a UAE-based company for dredging, land reclamation and marine construction for artificial islands being developed as part of its offshore ultra sour Ghasha concession.The contract awarded to the UAE’s National Marine Dredging Company (NMDC) is valued at AED 5 billion (US 1.36 billion) and will achieve substantial In-Country Value of over 70 percent. Saudi Aramco, ADNOC to Cooperate on LNG

Total Wins 40% Stake in Unconventional Gas Concession

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) has awarded a 40 per cent stake in the Ruwais Diyab gas concession to French energy major Total.Adnoc group, for which the award is an important milestone to reach the target of 1 Bcfd of unconventional gas production before 2030, said in a press release that it will retain a 60% stake in the concession.Under the terms of the agreement, Total will explore, appraise and develop the concession area’s unconventional gas resources.The agreement includes a six to seven-year exploration and appraisal phase which will then be followed by a 40-year production term. UAE's Adnoc Awards USD 1.6bln Contract to China’s CNPC

The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has awarded contracts worth AED 5.88bn (US $1.6bn) for the world’s largest continuous 3D onshore and offshore seismic survey, covering an area up to 53,000 square kilometres, as the company continues to identify and unlock new opportunities and maximize value from its hydrocarbon resources and deliver on its 2030 smart growth strategy.Adding to the 2D and 3D seismic data already acquired across Abu Dhabi, the new seismic survey will cover an area of up to 30,000 km2 offshore and 23,000 km2 onshore.The contract has been awarded by ADNOC to BGP Inc., a subsidiary of China National Petroleum Company (CNPC)…

ADNOC Signs Major Offshore Concession Agreements with Total

The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has signed agreements with Total of France, awarding them stakes in two of Abu Dhabi’s new offshore concessions. Under the terms of the agreements, Total has been awarded a 20% interest in the Umm Shaif and Nasr concession and a 5% interest in the Lower Zakum concession. Total is ADNOC’s largest and one of its longest international partners, active in Abu Dhabi’s oil and gas sector since 1939. Lamprell Delivers Jackup Rig to NDC

Lamprell announced the completion of construction on the jackup drilling rig, “Al Gharbia”, and its delivery to Abu Dhabi’s National Drilling Company (‘NDC’). Completion and delivery of the jackup rig, on time and on budget, was marked at an inauguration ceremony held at Lamprell’s Hamriyah facility in the UAE on 22 December. The rig will depart the facility in late December en route to its drilling location in Abu Dhabi. The contract for the NDC “Al Gharbia” rig was signed in November 2014 and this is the seventh rig in a series of nine rigs being built and delivered by Lamprell to NDC. Grandweld Delivers Vessel to ADNOC

United Arab Emirates leading shipyard Grandweld has delivered a dive maintenance and support vessel TAWAM1 to Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC). Grandweld took the newbuild project from conception to completion, designing and building the 50-meter long vessel with a 65-ton bollard pull capability, after signing a contract in December 2013 with -ADNOC. TAWAM1 will be operated by ADNOC’s group company, Abu Dhabi Petroleum Ports Operating Company (IRSHAD). Among its specifications, TAWAM1 is equipped with anchor handling equipment and an offshore lifting crane with a capacity of 35 ton at 7.5-meter reach. This will be utilized to maneuver heavy lift items such as gravity anchors, mooring buoys and SBM hoses.

IRSHAD Acquires Damen Shoalbuster 2308

Abu Dhabi Petroleum Ports Operating Company (IRSHAD), a part of the ADNOC Group of Companies, has taken delivery of a Damen Shoalbuster 2308, named Al Marfa 1. During a ceremony at Damen Shipyards Hardinxveld, the Netherlands, the company received the new vessel 3 weeks ahead of schedule. The delivery was attended by Zeid Zakaria, Senior Vice President, IRSHAD, Khalfan Ali Al Ali, Ship Building Projects Manager, IRSHAD, Pascal Slingerland, Damen Sales Manager Middle East, Jos van Woerkum, Director Damen Shipyards Hardinxveld and Peter Baars, Product Director Damen Shipyards IRSHAD will put the vessel to use maintaining single point buoy moorings. The close contact she will have with the buoys has necessitated Damen outfitting the vessel with a range of explosion-proof equipment.

Lamprell Delivers Rig to National Drilling Co.

Lamprell announced the construction of the jackup drilling rig, the “Butinah”, and delivery to Abu Dhabi’s National Drilling Company (NDC) safely and within budget. This comes following an announcement last week where NDC exercised one of its existing options and awarded a further contract to Lamprell to build a ninth rig in the series. The “Butinah” rig, which achieved an exceptional safety record, departed Lamprell’s Hamriyah facility on 1 May, and is sailing to its drilling location in the Zakum Field off Abu Dhabi. The contract for the NDC “Butinah” rig was signed in April 2012 and this is the sixth in a series of nine rigs being built and delivered by Lamprell to NDC. All nine rigs have been or will be designed according to the Cameron LeTourneau Super 116E (Enhanced) Class design.

Aage Hempel, a company in worldwide merchant marine electronic service and focused on 24/7 maritime sales and service, signs agreement for the delivery of navigation and communication equipment included Integrated Bridge System from Kelvin Hughes with Shipyard De Hoop in Lobith. The Platform Supply Vessels (PSV) are for Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC). The first vessel is to be delivered early 2015, while the delivery of the other nine vessels is equally spread over almost 1.5 years, with the last PSV to be handed over at the end of 2016.
