Japan-based Yanmar has delivered two 6EY26DF dual-fuel commercial marine engines with the ability to use both heavy fuel oil (HFO) and liquefied natural gas (LNG) as fuels for the LNG tugboat. Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL) will take delivery of the vessel once construction is completed in February 2019 with the tugboat expected to commence operation in April 2019.Yanmar has also received orders for the LNG fuel tanks, buffer tanks, and gas combustion devices that make up the LNG fuel feed systems for the engines.The MOL-owned vessel will be manufactured by Kanagawa Dockyard Co., Ltd. and operated by Nihon Tug-Boat Co., Ltd. with Osaka Gas Co., Ltd. providing the LNG fuel.

The Trump administration this week will unveil the list of Chinese imports targeted for U.S. tariffs to punish Beijing over technology transfer policies, a move expected to intensify trade tensions between the world's two largest economies. The list of $50 billion to $60 billion worth of annual imports is expected to target "largely high-technology" products and it may be more than two months before tariffs take effect, administration officials have said. It was shipped directly to Klaipeda in Lithuania on April 1st on a ferry ship belonging to DFDS Seaways. (MHI) has decided to transfer its small-size, air-cooled, gasoline engine business - its Meiki Engine operations - to Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Engine Systems Co., Ltd. (MES). MES is a wholly owned marketing and service subsidiary of MHI located in Shinagawa, Tokyo, and reports to the parent company's General Machinery and Special Vehicles headquarters in Sagamihara. By concentrating all manufacturing and marketing activities related to small-size, air-cooled gasoline engines to MES, MHI aims to establish a light and more effective operational structure capable of responding to rapid changes in a crowded market, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of Meiki Engines.

The 2011 first-quarter results show that Cologne-based engine manufacturer DEUTZ has continued its positive business performance of the past twelve months. Operating profit of €18.2 million (EBIT before one-off items) sends a strong signal that the company is on an upwards trajectory this year. In the first quarter of 2010, DEUTZ had reported an operating profit of just €0.7 million. For the first time in three years, the company was also able to report positive net income for the first quarter -traditionally a subdued period.
