VIKING's Helpline for New Coastal Safety Rules

With just a few months to go, VIKING has all hands on deck to ensure coastal vessel operators don’t risk their ability to sail under the US Coast Guard’s upgraded coastal vessel safety regulations. Marine safety equipment manufacturer and servicing provider VIKING Life-Saving Equipment A/S says it’s worried that commercial vessels operating in North American coastal waters and waterways simply won’t be able to sail when new USCG safety regulations come into force on 26 February 2016. The company has released evacuation equipment packages that ensure vessel operators can reliably comply with the new regulations and it has set up a dedicated toll free 1-855 helpline number to assist them…

Viking Expands Lifeboat & Marine Fire Services

With the expansion of its specialized lifeboat and marine fire divisions, Viking Life-Saving Equipment now offers ship owners throughout North America a single point-of-contact for all service needs. "Considering the amount of safety equipment on board that needs to be serviced, there are advantages to choosing a company that can do it all," said Viking Americas managing director Al Osle. Helping ship owners meet new requirements, Viking can inspect, service, conduct load tests and repair all types of lifeboats, MOB/fast rescue craft and associated davits and release hooks with accompanying certification. The company also provides annual and five-year lifeboat inspections on board, as well as service of portable and fixed firefighting equipment.

Viking Expands Facilities & Services

Viking Life-Saving Equipment West Coast Sales Manager, John Sanford

Viking Life-Saving Equipment announced its Seattle, Washington Service Station is moving to a larger, 6,000 sq ft facility on the Duwamish Waterway. The new location will open March 1st and ensure better access to the Ports of Tacoma and Seattle. Recently appointed, John Sanford will head the company's Seattle branch office and lead the West Coast sales division. Viking managing director of the Americas Al Osle made the announcement. The new station is equipped to service Viking's entire line of products, including the Marine Evacuation Systems currently installed on many major cruise ships.
