The Scottish Government informs that KPMG has announced that Clyde Blowers Capital is to be the preferred bidder for the group’s business and its assets. “I am delighted that Clyde Blowers Capital has been named the preferred bidder for the Fergusons yard. New Partnership to Evaluate Dual Fuel Applications
American Power Group Corporation (APG) announced they will be working with Marine Fuel Conversions, LLC (MFC) to evaluate potential applications and opportunities for APG’s dual fuel solution specifically in marine applications including on-board prime and ancillary power as well as port based stationary power applications. MFC which is based in Glasgow, Scotland will be responsible for funding and coordinating all feasibility and beta testing activities necessary to determine how APG’s innovative Turbocharged Natural Gas dual fuel system can be commercialized in Europe for marine applications. The feasibility/beta testing period is anticipated to run between nine to fifteen months.
Britain Warns Scots: Independence would Hurt Energy Industry
Britain on Tuesday warned Scots that voting for independence would put jobs and investment in the Scottish energy industry at risk, threatening the commercial viability of North Sea oil and gas fields and renewable energy projects. AWS Ocean Energy Gets Major Investment from Alstom
AWS Ocean Energy Ltd, one of Scotland’s pioneering wave energy companies, announced that it had secured a major investment from Alstom, a global leader in power generation, power transmission and rail infrastructure. Alstom acquires a 40% equity stake in Inverness-based AWS Ocean Energy. This will give the company the financial strength to expand its operations and accelerate the development of its AWS-III wave power technology.
