American Seafoods Taps Vikand for Medical Management Services

Maritime medical operations and public health provider Vikand Medical Solutions, LLC said it has been appointed by American Seafoods, the world’s largest at-sea processor of wild Alaska pollock, to manage its medical operations.Holly Love, VIKAND’s vice president of medical operations, said the company has been working with American Seafoods since the end of 2020 and will now manage medical needs for all six vessels in its fleet. Lance Camarena recognized from a young age that he wanted to work in the learning and development arena. Crabber Vessel M/V Zenith Delivered

A new crabber vessel has been delivered to JSC Arcticservice and departed Tersan Shipyard in Turkey for its journey up to Kirkenes in Norway.The newbuild M/V Zenith will be used for catching, processing and freezing king crab and snow crab in the Barents Sea. The vessel has main dimensions of 62 x 15m (L x B) and will be operated by a crew of 38 persons, enabling a production capacity of up to 60 tons crabs/24h. Parat Halvorsen to Install Steamboiler on American Triumph

The American Triumph is American Seafoods most powerful at-sea processor. She also boasts the largest frozen hold capacity of any of their two-level processing vessels.

Parat Halvorsen AS has again signed a contract with the company American Seafoods Company in Seattle to deliver a new steamboiler, this time to their fabric trawler American Triumph. American Seafoods is well known company for its Alaskan Bearing sea operation, where also the trawler Triumph is normally operating. The vertical steam boiler of Parat Pin Tube MPW type, will have a capacity of 6,000kgs/h and is chosen due to high capacity and small size.
