Anglo-Eastern Celebrates 40th Anniversary
On September 4th, Anglo-Eastern celebrate it’s 40th Anniversary, in Hong Kong, concluding with an evening of fun, at the Hong Kong Maritime Museum. Among a host of VIPs, both local and international, Mr. & Mrs. Evert Maréchal, The Consul General of Belgium, along with the Consul General of Japan, Mr Hitoshi Noda and the Consul General of India, Mr. Ravi Sinha & Mr Prashant Agrawal together with the Director of the HK Marine Department, Mr Michael W.L. Dockwise Reports Multi-million US$ Backlog
Dockwise Ltd. has 6 new contracts, letters of intent and contract extensions with a total value of almost US$ 60 million. Dockwise, headquartered in Breda, the Netherlands, is a leading marine contractor providing total transport services to the offshore, onshore and yachting industries as well as installation services of extremely heavy offshore platforms. The company also operates a fleet of 25 purpose built semi-submersible vessels (including Dockwise Vanguard, White Marlin and Finesse). The contracts include a material change order for a Vanguard contract delivering the customer a later loading window and 5 shorter term contracts for execution in 2012 and 2013. These assignments include the mobilization of two drilling rigs and the transportation of a yacht- hotel.
Dockwise, Sealift to Merge
Heavy lift transporters Dockwise and Sealift announced that the two companies will merge, whereby the Sealift vessels will be integrated into the Dockwise fleet, and the company will trade under the Dockwise name. 3i, the largest shareholder in Dockwise, and Frontline, the largest shareholder in Sealift, have both approved the merger. Sealift was founded by Frontline to manage and operate six large Suezmax tankers, which are due to be converted into semi-submersible heavy transport vessels. The first of the six converted will be operational in May, following its conversion in China. The remaining five vessels will be delivered through 2007 to the end of 2008.
