SeaSafe Marine Wins Höegh Contract

SeaSafe Marine has signed a sole service supplier agreement with Höegh-Wallem Ship Management Inc. to provide services and spares for the lifeboat systems on their fleet’s 38 vessels. "The tender process for this appointment was very competitive but we were able to offer assurances on service delivery and scope of benefits and that we will provide Höegh with the proactive support that they require,” Andrew said. This appointment brings the total number of third-party vessels under formal contract with SeaSafe Marine to over 170.

Masterbulk, SeaSafe Ink Lifeboat Service Deal

Masterbulk Singapore has entered into a five-year global sole service supplier agreement with the Wallem Group’s lifeboat maintenance service company, SeaSafe Marine. The agreement is for lifeboat services on Masterbulk’s fleet of 20 open hatch gantry crane vessels. SeaSafe Marine’s current client list includes companies from across the maritime sector such as cruise, tankers and bulk carriers. “We have engineers based in Hong Kong and China, who regularly travel around the world to deliver our services.

Schat-Harding Strengthens Shanghai Service

High and increasing demand from international shipowners and local shipyards has led lifeboat and davit manufacturer Schat-Harding to invest in a state-of-the-art lifeboat servicing facility in Shanghai, China. Umoe Schat-Harding LSA Service (Shanghai) Co Ltd began work as a company in its own right in December 2009. Located in Pudong Shanghai, with service offices in Guangzhou and Qingdao, it is a development of Schat-Harding's fast growing Chinese servicing network. "We started a service station in China in 2006 in Qingdao, moved to Shanghai in 2007, opened a second office in Guangzhou in 2008 and now we have this superb new facility here," said Andrew Lemmis, managing director.
