DOF Secures North Sea PSV Contracts

DOF Group said it has secured an extension with Maersk UK for 2011-built platform supply vessel (PSV) Skandi Gamma until the end of 2016 and for 2003-built PSV Skandi Caledonia with Apache North Sea Ltd until mid-January 2017.

EnerMech Lands North Sea Contract

EnerMech s been awarded a £6.6 million contract by Apache North Sea Ltd. to supply and install four new Blow- Out Preventer (BOP) handling cranes on the Forties Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and Delta platforms. The project, which will deliver four Stahl cranes and is expected to be completed by Q1 2013, will be serviced by a dedicated engineering team from EnerMech’s Aberdeen-based cranes division. The contract award builds on a number of existing multi-million pound crane operations and maintenance contracts held by mechanical engineering company EnerMech and represents a significant investment in the offshore infrastructure owned and operated by Apache.

TCO UK Completes Work for Apache North Sea Ltd

Aberdeen-based TCO In-Well Technologies UK Limited, a provider of well completion technologies to the global oil & gas industry, has successfully completed a Glass Barrier System well opening application for Apache North Sea Limited. The operation, thought to be worth a five figure sum, involved TCO UK’s patented TDP-I Glass Plug being deployed on the Apache operated Forties Delta Platform on well FD3-5. The plug was used to isolate the reservoir allowing the operator to test for integrity before opening the well. Joel Rodriguez, senior completions engineer at Apache, said: “The TCO TDP-I plug, set at almost 4000 meters at 71 degrees, opened on the prescribed pressure cycle, eliminating the need for an additional intervention run.

Major North Sea Contract Win for Expro

International oilfield service company Expro has been awarded a multi-million pound contract by Apache North Sea Ltd in the UK North Sea following completion of a competitive tender process. The contract, worth approximately $7.5m annually, mainly covers work on the Forties field. It sees Expro providing wireline services and establishing an alliance with another leading provider to deliver coiled tubing and pumping services for Apache. In total, 24 offshore employees will be dedicated to this contract. The contract has a firm duration of three years with two optional one-year extensions.
