Automation technology group ABB has advanced its position as a leading supplier of enterprise asset management (EAM) software, according to newly released findings from ARC Advisory Group, a research and advisory firm. EAM solutions facilitate the management of an organization’s physical assets over their entire lifecycle, from design and production, through commissioning, operations and maintenance, to decommissioning and recycling. Managing these aspects on a company-wide basis reduces downtime, optimizes investment and maintenance costs and extends the operational life of installations, thereby enhancing operational performance and minimizing total cost of ownership. According to the report, ABB is now the second-largest supplier of EAM software worldwide.
