After six years as President & CEO of Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics (WWL), Mr Arild B. Iversen is moving into a new role as consultant to the parent companies and WWL. Christopher J. Connor, currently Deputy CEO & Chief Commercial Officer, will take over at the helm. Zero Emissions Terminal Embarks on World Tour

It is the ocean cargo terminal of the future - powered by the sun and wind. WWL’s futuristic will require no conventional power, forego fossil fuels and release no harmful emissions into the atmosphere. WWL hopes to develop the facility by 2020. But fans of a cleaner, greener future won’t have to wait any longer to catch a glimpse of  plans for the world’s first zero emissions terminal and processing center. The Castor Green Terminal is embarking on a worldwide tour, and a virtual model will be on display at a series of conferences hosted by Automotive Logistics throughout 2011, starting at the Automotive Europe Conference in , 1-3 March 2011.

WWL Cuts Greenhouse Gas Emissions by 32%

Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics (WWL), a global shipping and logistics company, managed to cut its green house gas emissions by 32% last year. The company also cut its sulphur dioxide emissions (SO2) emissions by 135,000 tonnes in a nine year period from 2000 to 2009, an amount nearly equal to all the SO2 emissions from road vehicles in the United States for an entire year*. “Even in times of global economic crisis, we must continue to build value for our customers,” declared Arild B. Wilh. Wilhelmsen, SvitzerWijsmuller Join Forces

Abeer Marine Services (AMS), a company in the Wilh. Wilhelmsen group (WW) will establish a joint operating company with the Maersk-owned SvitzerWijsmuller (SW). The joint company will be named Express Offshore Transport Pte. Ltd. (EOT). WW and SW will each own 50 percent. The company will be based in Singapore and have 80 shore based personnel. The company will be operational as of 1 November 2005 subject all relevant approvals being given. The application for approval of the new joint company is being considered by the European Commission under the EC Merger Regulation. - EOT will become a solid company which will be well-equipped to increase the quality and further improve the service vis-à-vis the customers…
