MASS continues to support Maritime Anti-piracy Operations
The European Council has extended the mandate for European Union Naval Force Somalia (EU NAVFOR) - Operation ATALANTA - until 31 December 2018, which means Cohort company MASS will continue to provide the Classified Mission Network for the enduring Operation. Operation ATALANTA was launched in December 2008 to contribute to the deterrence, prevention and repression of acts of piracy and armed robbery off the Somali coast. The operation also protects vessels of the World Food Programme and other vulnerable shipping, monitors fishing activities off the coast of Somalia and supports other EU missions and programmes in the region. MASS provides the core operational mission network for the effective command and control of this multi-national Operation both ashore and afloat.
Drilling Tools International Acquires Reamco
Hicks Equity Partners (HEP), a private equity firm led by the Thomas O. Hicks family, announced that its portfolio company, Directional Rentals, Inc., has acquired Reamco, Inc., a company based in Lafayette, La., that manufactures, rents and refurbishes downhole drilling tools and related products used in the drilling industry. Reamco Opens Office in Aberdeen
Reamco Inc. announced the opening of a business development office in Aberdeen, Scotland, said CEO Ashley Lane. The new business development office will enable Reamco to better communicate with existing clients and aid in obtaining new business throughout the region. The office will be responsible for business development in the North Sea, Europe, Middle East and Africa. Tasked with developing the Aberdeen office, Jamie Shepherd joins Reamco with nearly 40 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
