Incat Crowther Supplies Crewboat Design, Build Kits
Incat Crowther has been awarded a contract with shipbuilder Astinave EP of Guayaquil, Ecuador for the supply of vessel design services and aluminum component kits for a pair of 22.5m monohull crewboats currently under construction for an undisclosed client. The vessels will operate in support of Ecaudorās state-owned oil and gas company, Flota Petrolera Ecuatoriana (Flopec). Incat Crowther said the 20-knot crewboats feature modern styling combined with a robust and simple-to-build structure.
Ecuador Coastguard Orders Damen Patrol Boats
Damen announced it has recently signed a contract with AstillerosNavalesEcuatorianos (Astinave) to construct two Damen Stan Patrols (Spa) 5009 for the Ecuadorian Coastguard. The Ecuadorian shipyard will build both vessels locally with Damen Technical Cooperation, which is Damenās method of ābuilding on siteā. Astinave Contracts Damen for 4th Patrol Vessel
Astilleros Navales Ecuatorianos EP has awarded Damen Shipyards Group the contract for a fourth Patrol Vessel of the Damen Stan Patrol 2606 type. This contract represents the last of this SPa 2606 series for the Ecuadorian Coastguard to be built locally. In Guayaquil, Damen will deliver the detailed engineering of the vessel together with a complete material package. The Ecuadorian Coastguard presently operates three Damen Stan Patrols 2606, all of them having a length of 26.5 m (87 ft), outfitted with state of the art equipment and reaching 30 knots.
First Damen Fast Crew Supplier Built in Ecuador
For the first time, a Damen Fast Crew Supplier 1605 will be built in Ecuador by Astilleros Navales Ecuatorianos (ASTINAVE) Shipyard. Damen is supplying the complete, prefabricated Shipbuilding Material Package Kit to ASTINAVE. The yardās technical staff are responsible for the construction, together with Damen Technical Cooperation (DTC). The DTC concept enables customers to build Damen vessels of their choice locally, according to specific requirements. The Fast Crew Supplier will be delivered to Petro Ecuador in September this year.
Damen Gets Contract for Tug
A contract has been signed with Astinave (Ecuador) for the delivery of a complete material package of a Damen Stan Tug 1405 to be assembled at their premises in Guayaquil. The tugboat is destined for Suinsa to assist coastal tankers at their berthing station. The vessel will enter in service in August 2008.
