Jan de Nul Dredging Chooses Again for No Limit

For the third time in a row Jan de Nul Dredging chooses for No Limit Ships Shipyards. After first having bought two survey vessels, they now opted for a No Limit 1640 Crewtender with thirteen passenger seats. For the next five years the vessel is expected to be deployed for various projects in European waters and will be sailing under Belgian flag. At the customer’s request the vessel will be constructed in such a way that it will need only minor adjustments at a later stage to make it suitable as a survey vessel.

Dutch Pilot Vessel for North Sea Station Christened

Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands christens the boat 'Polaris' at the Cruise Terminal Rotterdam. Conoship's member shipyard Barkmeijer had earlier launched Pilot Station Vessel ‘Polaris’ (NB 324). This vessel design is the result of close collaboration between the Dutch Pilot Organisation, Barkmeijer Shipyards and Conoship International. Special attention was paid to motional behaviour in typical all year round North Sea environment.  Conoship developed the new hull lines in collaboration with SasTech, and the excellent sea keeping characteristics were confirmed in the extensive model testing program at MARIN. The vessel has already commenced operations for the Dutch Pilot Organisation, and two sister pilot boats will follow her in 2013 and 2014 respectively.

Alewijnse Noord Gets Order For Three PSVs

Alewijnse Noord BV, a subsidiary of Alewijnse Marine Systems based in Drachten, the Netherlands, has recently secured the largest order in its history. The contract is for the installation of the electrical systems on board three new Pilot Station Vessels (PSVs) for the Dutch Pilotage Services. The vessels will be constructed by Barkmeijer Shipyards at Stroobos in the Netherlands. The PSVs are designed to provide offshore accommodation for the crew of the pilot boats. The vessels will be more than 80 metres in length and will have accommodation for up to 18 pilots and 17 crew.

Alewijnse Commissions Three Pilot Station Vessels

Alewijnse Noord BV in Drachten recently the largest order in the history of the company scored. It involves the construction of electrical systems on board three new Pilot Station Vessels for the pilotage. The vessels are built by Barkmeijer Shipyards. Barkmeijer Shipyards Stroobos building commissioned by the Pilotage three new ships. The 'pilot station vessels' function offshore as accommodation for the crew of the pilot boats. The vessels have a length of more than 80 meters. The three ships will be built over the next four years.
