Cheniere Completes 5th LNG Train at Sabine Pass

Cheniere's First LNG Train Almost Complete
Cheniere Energy and Bechtel Oil, Gas and Chemicals said that they have achieved substantial completion of Train 1 of the Corpus Christi LNG Project.Commissioning is wrapped up and Bechtel has turned over care, custody, and control of Train 1 to Cheniere Energy.Jack Fusco – President and CEO of Cheniere said: “Train 1 at Corpus Christi has achieved Substantial Completion, becoming the first liquefaction train placed into operation at a greenfield liquefaction facility in the lower 48 states.Bechtel won the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for three liquefied natural gas trains and related facilities of the Corpus Christi LNG Project.The three LNG trains will have a production capacity of nearly 4.5 million tonnes per annum of LNG.
Bechtel, Cheniere Fires Up Corpus Christi LNG Production

Cheniere Partners Completes Train 4 at the Sabine Pass LNG
Cheniere Energy Partners has announced that Substantial Completion of Train 4 of the Sabine Pass liquefaction project in Cameron Parish, Louisiana (SPL Project) was achieved on October 9, 2017. Commissioning has been completed and Cheniere Partners' EPC partner Bechtel Oil, Gas and Chemicals has turned over care, custody, and control of Train 4 to Cheniere Partners. Under a sale and purchase agreement (SPA) with GAIL (India) Limited, the date of first commercial delivery for Train 4 of the SPL Project is expected to occur in March 2018, upon which the SPA's 20-year term commences. Over the last 17 months, Cheniere Partners and Bechtel have declared Substantial Completion on four liquefaction trains at Sabine Pass.
Bechtel to Design America's First FLNG
The first U.S.-based floating liquefied natural gas vessel (FLNGV) moved closer to reality after engineering giant Bechtel agreed to design and engineer the project. Bechtel has been selected by Delfin LNG, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fairwood Peninsula Energy, to perform front-end engineering and design for the floating FLNGV to go into service at Port Delfin. Port Delfin is a proposed deepwater port and floating LNG facility that will be located approximately 50 miles off the coastline of Cameron Parish, Louisiana. Delfin LNG’s project will be the first offshore floating natural gas liquefaction facility in the United States, Bechtel said in a statement on Tuesday.
